182 springs will fit fine. Its an easy job swopping springs though dont go paying over the odds for someone to do it.

You can run down to the minimum fine Id just not let it go any lower than minimum. Mine leaks a bit your sound like a coolent leak though not just natural evapouration. Check your pipes and radiator for leaks.

172/182 disks are 280mm. If you want bigger disks youll also need caliper mounting brackets making up so the caliper doesnt hit the disc. Personally the stock discs are fine IMO. IF you want get some groved but they are only for looks. Get better pads and dot 4.1 fluid and bleed the brakes...

Standard arnt bad just bleed the calipers fully with some good dot 4 fluid and its fine. Standard pads are only £26 from Halfords.

You should be able to see the pad through the gaps in the caliper or down the side of the caliper.

Its the brake warning light tells you when the pads are worn down. Doesnt matter though you can tell when pads are worn.

Yopu won;t have an arch liner at that hight I just cannot see it. Thats no reason to to get it that low just underseal the arches.

Air filter is easy to do. Change the oil and oil filter for a new better quality oil (pro silk 5/40 is recomended by others). Clean the throttle body of mess as this can restrict power. Decat is easish to do. Change the gearbox oil for better stuff (Id recomend Millers 75/90)

Could be a load of reason most common problem is the TDC sensor failing.
