i only drive 4 miles a day to and from work.
probably use my TomTom once a month, but during these times its spot on.
I also bought the external antenna for mine, routed it to the back of the parcel shelf.
The 500 isnt due to be replaced in the near future as far as i know. i spent a while deciding... and the 500 won for me.
Things you get with the 500 that you dont get with the One:
400Mhz processor
Assisted GPS
Hands Free Bluetooth (can trasfer phonebook to Go, very useful!)
Major Roads of...
TomTom One and 300 have 200Mhz processors, and neither use Assisted GPS
500 and 700 have 400Mhz processors and use Assisted GPS.
I got the 500... value for money it shines through :)
