They are from either a Mk2 V6, or a 182

with the older alpines, you had to connect the adapter to the back of the clock display which meant removing the dashboard. The newer adapters all fit to the back of the Head Unit. The Guy from Alpine was talking out of his arse :)

i dont own a V6, but would love one... not due to the speed. recently i have enjoyed pottering about at normal speeds in the 172 just enjoying owning the car, and knowing in the back of my mind that what i own is special in it own way. I think thats what V6 ownership is all about :)

as said in PM... i think the display adapter is a load of crap for my Alpine 9853 head unit... its well worth it for the steering controls though, because the Glide Touch panel is also crap! Heh /Dan.

Yup, sticky back foam did the trick. just put a small pad on each of the buttons on the inside. :)

on my dashboard (RS-1) i have a child seat light. It says something along the lines off "Baby On". im guessing this comes on when you turn off the airbag on the Ph2's?

Yup, even the Mk1 172's dont have the ability to turn the airbag off.

quite expensive to be chopping the end off.... clearly you have too much money ;)

Lee, if you have lots of things to charge, why not get a Fag Socket Splitter. This will give you the same effect, but will have 3 sockets on the end instead of 1 which you can still hide away :D

yeah, a 10ft extension cost me £4.99. I chopped it off at about 2ft and threw the rest away :)
