I had damping adjusting Spax stuff and I drive on the same roads as you probably do. I never bothered adjusting my ones (one either coilovered car) once Id found a setting I was happy with. The stock setups are a perfect mix. However for track days I did fine hardening them up was better...
H and R are cheaper I think and Im not 100% sure they have TUV approval.
Type 2 K and W stuff isnt cheap if I was evne thinking of that sort of money Id spend the bit extra and go for Leda (£1.5k) or try and get some Blistein stuff (not going to be easy as they only made 10 or so sets) or drop...
172 so long as the driver does mess up.
The Zrs supposed to handle very well but the 172 will still be better IMO. However a poorly skilled driver will loose any advanatge the 172 has.
I dont but the new ones got 192hp. Since the face life will be in say 3 years (face lifts are usualy ever 3 yrs for Renault) and since the new facelift will be another 2~3years againit will most likly be this later version which gets the extra power. Look at the 172 the Mk2 pahse 2 came out with...
The 200hp CLios a while off the next generation Clio Sport will be 192hp initially. 200hp+ will be later on in the cars life maybe 5 yrs from now.
The new cars bigger and heavier but should handle better and be quicker round a track.
Yep I think Id have to test a few engines compression ratio and find a good one or buy one at random rebuilt it completly and then swop bottom ends.
The car should make more power than it does even its 1/4 mile time prove that but since its got all the top end stuff it needs, seems like it...
I love the yellow but I think if i were to buy one Id go for titanium silver.
At the last second Im probably stupid enough that Id chance the order to yellow though and forever worry.
Could just be a good engine with good sealing pistons which hasnt been reved to death all the time. Some engines just are better ven with new 172 engines its the same Chris is a quick one faster than any other 172 I think same with Yozzas old engine it was a quick one.
A megan/ rebuilt bottom...
Its a Williams 2.0
It has (and I suspect it did have at the time of the mods judging my the milage) head work, cams, ITG filter, exhaust manifold changed, straight through decat, powerflow mid box and a 3 inch noisy back box. Its also heavily stripped inside. The 1/4 mile times of the car arnt...
Is it possible for such small changes on newer cars give the same sort of changes that the huge changes the Williams did from the valver setup?
Im not having a go at the trophy Id imagine its superb Im just intergued.
I know its not a truly fair test but how far off is a 172 with coilovers...
Ive heard it a bit worn not in a s good as condition as advertised then again everyone has rose tinted glasses. Definatly not the best in the Uk though.
18k though in 11 years Id be worried about problems of it doing very short runs and wear on the engine.
Arr right so your looking at £3.5k cash as such for a £12.5k car. Thats £9k to finance Id guess about £180 a month is the figure to aim for. Definatly look at used 182s though for 9~10k its a fair saving and youll still have a good amount of warenty left. A 182 for £9k could be paid for for in 3...
I think the big thing is Renault claim and owners claim its so much better bet many people cannot understand why when so little has changed (some on be honest its not like the 1.8 to Williams changes is it). Now without question it is superb and better than the rest of the range but personally I...
Shop round have a look here they compair all prices for new 182s.

You should be looking at paying about £12.5k for one with both cup packs and metalic paint. I got a quote of...
Not sure what the bits are and not achually finished yet but there loads of wiring and plugs going nowhere eg foglight wiring which can come out. Looking at all that loose wiring round the aux belt got me all woried thinking what would have happened if it had got stuck.
Lets just hope they...
Im typing with only one hand at the moment.
Im so sad though that I have to admit that windows has just asked me if I would like to overwrite the file as Ive already got a copy of it.
Ive just been sorting some stuff out on the car though at the moment the amount of waste weight in there is...
