^^^ yep it does.
But would you trust a total stranger with £7k of your hard earned because they "looked ok"?
You hand over the cash, take the car with no V5. You apply for a V5 and find out it's stolen. The rozzers take the car back and you're left with f*** all.
From a dealership maybe...
Rentech win for me all day long.
Mike worked for a Renault dealer until they lost their franchise and he set-up on his own.
My Cup has been in his capable hands every 6k from new, and he recently did my 72k + cambelt.
Top bloke, top service...well worth 1hr drive down from Guildford. He'll...
All 172's have hydraulic steering - the non-sport Clio's have electric.
There's no difference in steering between a FF or a Cup for either 172 or 182.
The rest is right though ;)
I LOL at that.
Maybe we should start a thread titled "Petrol owners 5lag off diesels, and diesel owners/lovers defend" and make it a sticky?
I reckon it would beat the wife/girlfried picture thread for posts.
Try hitting your throttle body with a hammer ;) ...the MAF sensor inside might be playing up.
When mine went it started hunting and wouldn't respond to inputs.
2 hr drive down to Rentech in Portsmouth? - guaranteed you will not get ripped off (probably half what a Renault dealer would quote), and the service is second to none.
I'm looking at the recent one they've released that uses an MX-5 as a donor.
I think that'd be spot on.
I'm sure 140 bhp is enough...probably near 250 bhp/ton?
You'd need to spend a few more grand yet to get your car up near that Mark LOL
Around the Haynes sprint track there was almost nothing between the 172/182's and Valvers/Williams (OK...the Williams were a little bit quicker ;) ). The really tight bit's were hard work in the 172/182's...all that extra weight makes a huge difference.
Around Brands, the Williams/Valvers can...
At Rentech I had the 72k service, cambelt/auxillary belt changed, new dampers supplied and fitted, new rear brake discs and bearings supplied and fitted, 1hr spent buggering about with my Ktec stealth to get it to fit better...plus a few other niggly bits sorted out...
And it still came to...
Looks much better fitted Mike...your little table in the corner was just a random mess of bits Friday afternoon LOL
Give me a shout and I'll pop round and give you a push when you're ready for it ;)
LMAO - better resale values on the Trophy? Of course it does, it's newer after all...but then it'll cost you almost twice what a 172 Cup would.
Buy a 172 Cup for £6k and the most you'll lose in depreciation over say 3 years would be £4k.
Or buy a Trophy for £11k (what do they go for?) and in...
I don't have a remap as such, but I fitted a preprogrammed Renaultsport Group N ECU bought from R-Sport of Wimbledon (direct replacement - even comes with Renault logos and barcodes).
More power? Not really.
More torque? It kind of flattens out and makes the mid-range a little keener.
Throttle...
I've found over 71k miles that mine consistantly over-reads by approx. 3 mpg.
It says 38, true figure is 35. It says 44, true figure is 41. It says 14, true figure is 11 (trackdays only ;) )
I'm sadder still - I'm an accountant by trade, so working out actual compared to...
