Yep Cda is drag coefffic.
Cda is just a ratio of how efficient it is.
You need to multiply the Cda by the frontal area and then times by air pressure (dependant on many variables) to work out the frontal drag.
Ill try and do a few rought calculations at work tommorow to give you a better idea.
What about an older yelloy Mk1 172 Clio for ~£7k ie your car plus about £2k
Or a 1 or 2 yr old Mk2 172 for £8k ie your car plus £3.2k. Your looking at a fair saving.
Thats an RT? If so
The drag coeffi is 0.32 and has a cerb weight of 850kg.
All info gathered from http://www.globalcar.com/datasheet/Renault/1999RenaultClioII1.616V.htmhere.
The VTS is apparently 935kg. Drag coefficient is 0.33 with a frontal area of 1.82
0.35 is high and low it all depends what your compairing it to for aircrat thats bad for buses that quite good.
Just found out the Clio Mk2 V6 is 0.372 drag coeff, 2.02 frontal area
A Mk1 V6 has frontal area...
What about a older 172 for the same price? excellent car loaded with kit for a 1~2 yr old model.
New Coras and Clios are about the same price Corsas are about £700 cheaper but the free insurance is from 21 wheras the Clios from 18.
Looking in the locla paper Coras Sxi are realy cheap for a...
Thats not that bad realy. Ive got a car where acceleration just doesnt happen and Im paying £750 at 22 with a £6k car 1 claim in a nice area.
Thats with no mods as well isnt it?
What about privalage? They seem to be good if yourve got yrs of NCB.
It is gutting to think how much money per...
Drag coeffic for the 182 is 0.35 and weights 1090kg kerb
Drag coeffic for the 172 is 0.36 and weights 1090kg kerb
Drag coeffic for a 1.2 16V new shape is 0.35 and weights 930kg kerb
Drag coeffic for a 1.4 16V new shape is 0.35 and weights 1000kg kerb
Drag coeffic for a 1.6 16V new shape...
Im sure the Mk1 172 doesnt have rair sensing wipers but its easy to check just look on the windscreen where the rear view mirror is for a sensor like bit if there nothing on the windscreen then you havnt got the auto wipers.
Its cheaper for Renault just to redesign the ratios than stick the 6 speed boxes in.
Also it means that where th new Clio comes out with a 6 speed people are more likly to upgrade.
Unusual cable that it looks like it has the right connection to connect to your CD changer but the plug on the other end is the one which plus into the official Reanult CD changer. So I dont think it will fit.
Im emailing you file now.
All new cars (produced in over 400 units a year) need ABS now so the 182 Cup had to have ABS.
Persoanlly Id get a proper 172 ABS isnt the best thing ever to save you but its better to have it on normal roads (IMO).
15 or 17K I told them but need to get it increased to about 20k.
After paying all the money I do for insurance might as well pay the extra to be completly covered.
Renault will want a fortune they charge about 0.6 hrs for changing the pads and at £65 a hour thats £39 for something you can do yourself for free with cheaper parts from Halfords etc. for half the Renault list price.
New pads disks are £70 or so I think which is less than Renault would want...
The Cup is quite unique realy there not that much similar priced competition realy IMO. You have to go to an elise or S2000 etc and thats a big price increase.
Id seriously try fixing that scratch in the picture yourself youll probably be able to completly cover it up with a few hours work.
All you need is some touch up paint model brushes from a modeling shop and a load of polish, effort and time.
Its not the high tunning. Infact the engine not that higlt tunned. Its due to the mapping for emmisions it seems.
95 RON is fine no problem with it. Even if your going for 200hp+.
The allowance is 1000 miles. any more and you start to have to pay a % of warently claim prices but it will depend on what the claim is for.
My pads were 80% worn at 18k and then replaced at about 19k. At the 36k service they were 90%+ worn (ooops).
How you 2.0 liter owners get such good...
Reasonable common problem the dash lights is down to a faulty brake sensor reading setup. There a Renault tech note out about them.
The cruise problem will (most likly) be interlinked with the above brake problem.
Sorry the drawing isnt relevent to this problem I thourght it might have been.
Renault should refund you the full price just say it doesnt work or something.
As for making it work I dont know Im cheap and wouldnt mess with a cable worth £85 Id prefere to make my own loom.
Ill send you the...
Super chip have a 120hp remap out for it which puts the car into the semi quick hatch area. £500 I think with CS discount
Apart from that theres the obvious tuning boxes which are about £300 but Id personally go for a remap for the superchip for the warently regardless of the extra money also...
Nope its a new engine 1.9 liter in size its a development of the 120hp 1.9 and is being first installed on the Laguna and Megan I think as well.
I thought the new Sport engine was the F4M as well Tom.
Be interesing to see what spec the engine is being given I cannot remember what M stands...
You an deal with more than 180hp on FWD there no issue there.
There no turbo Clio (diesel excepted)
The new Mica shares bits with the Clio but diffferent production plants. There trying to make it lighter than the present Clio and make it handle better.
225hp dci Clio Id buy and remap it.
Petrol you can forget it.
The F4R Renault sport Clio in its next incarnation will be under 200hp but it can make much much more.
