I think a bit of satin black will do fine, make sure you let them harden before putting them back on (if you take them off that is)
The wipers don't take that much punishment really, and for the price of a can, you can't go wrong.
I'll be doing this to mine some time in the next few weeks...
The individual coilover makes no difference as to how low a car can sit without scrubbing, the car can go as low as it will go without the wheel scrubbing, basically KTR coilovers will go as low as any others without scrubbing, where the scrubbing point is, you'll have to find our for yourself...
The system I have bought is a bolt together system, I do so hope my decat is too, LOL!!!!
Definately didn't think of that when buying it, its a ktec decat, currently connected to a long life system.
Cheers for the help fellow ph1.5'er
You seem to have removed the threaded ring already... so they're as low as they go.. lol!
If you need a threaded ring, measure the seat diameter, I have a couple of rings at home I don't need but not sure if they'd fit.
It shan't be off.
Decat back replacement :)
Could become a genuinely ok to drive car after this, as opposed to LOUD! haha.
I guess all I need is an exhaust clamp. Done.
Is the engine sound? If so, it's really not a bad start for a track car, but it's gonna be rough and ready! Get yourself a dash from one of the breakers on here (sutt auto's or cliospares) and it'll tidy it up a lot. Only about 45/55 delivered.
I don't mean to be rude, but what is it you...
Love the wheel colour, looks god damn spot on. Who done them/how much if you don't mind me asking?
Oh and most importantly, what colour is that? Just satin black?
Going expensive wasn't an option at the moment, so brand new, full standard assembly's it was. Bloody lovely tbh, after the exhaust is on and these new bushes go on, i'll be in love with it again, big time.
I don't think the standard ones with coilies are too bad at all tbh. :)
Budgie, help me do mine then?
Got one in my bedroom, but not done it, when I tried I didn't realise there was a nut underneath, and the pressure on the rubber just caused the ratchet to twang back!!!
I guess I'll find the problem you're all talking about soon enough... :S
FLOL at some of the comments.
Get up as many pictures as you can mate, and I'm sure a lot of people will help you find out if it's a genuine RS.
You've bought it with the intention of turning it into a track wh0re and if you got it cheap as chips, why not? Most on here think a track car is...
Is the best thing in the world to do to your Clio.
Since owning the 172, it's had these horrible compbrake things fitted, I thought the car felt fine/great, tonight, Danny_172, TheEvilGiraffe and I changed the mounts out for standard items.
After quite some fettling, Danny and I figured out...
Re: Mk1 F4R/172'd Track Car Project
I actually love the dedication that goes into this, and the acceptance that, no matter what, at the end of the day, its French, so it will break without reason.
I still remember when you had the mk2 and was asking all the dumb questions I do now. lol!
Re: T5MY G's saxo vtr - Recaro pole positions/b8's/carbon/saxsport/stripped!
Ah ok, I guess you'd need the clio to be actual perfection, where as with the saxo, you don't have the same aims for the project. Shame though, the clio was lovely. This looks good too, mind :)
I did initially write "Rtwentysomething" but changed it as I thought I was right :(
I'll hang my head in shame.
I was going to include the hood furr, but I thought it was too much. ;)
Look forward to meeting you and the motor.
Re: T5MY G's saxo vtr - Recaro pole positions/b8's/carbon/saxsport/stripped!
I'm a bit lost now as to why you didn't just finish the clio off and drop a 2.0 in it?
I thought you sold the clio as it was costing too much and you wanted to save money?
Don't get me wrong or take that as in...
