So it's because the disks on modern cars don't float as a rule?
Why don't more manufacturers fit floating disks then?
Cost/complexity?
Probably lack of demand?
Out of idle curiosity...
I've had bikes over the years with drilled disks, and I know a lot of bikers also, and I've never heard of a drilled disk on a bike cracking.
Yet everyone advises against drilled discs on cars as they crack.
Is it because they're fully floating?
Didn't BMW...
It weighs the same as the Trophy too, should be quite a beast but for £22k they're having a laugh.
The red mirrors - reminds me too much of an old white XR3i I used to see a lot, that had red mirrors, red wheelnuts, red wipers, red door handles, red bump-strips, red aerial...
Try letting your car pull itself along in first or second gear, with no throttle, just tickover/idle.
Then click the aircon on...it's like dragging the brakes. My old 306 would almost stop/stall when doing that before the ECU compensated for the extra load.
Definitely takes the edge off.
Us Cup owners without the luxury of aircon have known about this for ages ;)
Can anyone say why, about 50% of the time, I only get 3 beeps when doing it?
I always go back and do it again until I get the full 4 though...
Yep, mine's been weeping for the last 20k miles.
I just put up with it, rather than let the local Renault spanner monkeys climb all over it.
Fingers crossed mate!
Half arsed attempt...
If he'd done the;
Door handles
Wheel nuts
Side bump strips
Rear bumper insert
Fuel filler flap
Roof spoiler
Aeriel
Wiper blades
Washer jets
...as well I think he'd have pulled it off.
What an imbecilic pr*ck.
Not red...Peugeot's finest seville orange ;)
It's a trackday thing...15 inchers for more serious rubber...normal turinis for road/day to day use.
Why bright orange? I go to the track photgrapher..."it's the one with the orange wheels mate", so much easier than checking reg. nos. on the...
I had problems like this during my first 18 months of ownership...
Lights would come on, the solenoid behind the glove box would click, but no current got to the starter motor. Then it would be fine for a few weeks. Eventually it wouldn't start at all.
Some part of the wiring loom was...
Yup...
If from a locked state, you unlock it using the remote, and then don't open any door/boot, it will re-lock itself after about 60 seconds.
It's a safety/security thing - just in case you press the remote button by mistake (in your pocket?) as you're walking away and unlock it - it'll...
15" rims, ET35 - can I stick these on my Cup without fcuking things up?
Before anyone says it, I have searched, and it comes up with pages of threads...haven't got time to read all of them to find the info. I'm looking for...
Yeah but I can cope OK if it's less than 30 degrees...it's just this week, everytime I sit in the car it's like a tap has been opened on every pore of my body :dead:
