Yeah but at least your doing a grease monkey course,
so someone's going to teach you the stuff you need to know.
I'll be doing mine with absolutely f*ck all knowlege. lol
Could you have a go at rebuilding one with a Haynes manual, an internet connection and zero mechanical knowledge?
I really want one and have been told by quite a few people they're great cars to learn on,
as they're basically a giant meccano set.
Why start a new thread?
This one is all about Mini's and it'll soon be about you rebuilding yours,
plus I can't be arsed to learn a new thread title, I don't go in for all this 'subscribed' b*llocks.
Same here, recently i've been looking at other cars on here, WRX Wagons, classic Mini's, Volvo's,
and when i'm sat here I often think I wish I had something else to drive every now and again.
But today I had the dog kennel screaming and realised, F*CK THAT this things friggin' epic!!!
Well everyone says it's easy, but I nearly cried trying to get mine off,
in the end I gave up and just masked up the front of the car,
put newspaper behind the grill and sprayed it still attached.
Get the belts done pump the tyres up job done,
maybe change the steering wheel at a later date.
Low mileage Ph1s are like rocking horse sh*t, rare as f*ck.
I use 33 on the front and 31 on the back, but 30 on the back's fine.
I thought my car was broken when I got new tyres, took a while for them to grip properly, it's normal.
There was a 7 parked a few doors down from my house today,
I was mighty impressed as everyone round here is from the shallow end of the gene pool.
They must have been visiting, as none of the locals have that good taste.
