Evo mag also commented in the current issue that they are now putting ALL test cars through a test on the same dyno. Also, they said they'd reveal just how much extra power could be released by running premium fuels over supermarket crap.
I've never noticed the power (but then I have run it...
I'll doubtless get flamed for saying so, but Yokohama A539's are great for playing around on the limit. I've done 40k on them (not one set though LOL) and they're predictable, progressive, never snap, and relatively cheap.
They handle all the abuse you can throw at them on a trackday without...
172 Cup's are not the reason there are so many write offs...it's the drivers.
The best way to make a 172 Cup safer in the wet, is to modify your own driving style, slow everything down, look as far ahead as possible, and know that the unexpected can, and often does, happen. That way when it...
Yup, it's ALL about weight transfer. Just be careful with the back, they're a bit agile to say the least. Get progressive tyres on it though, and you can play with them to your hearts content :D
Nice...that's exactly how it felt when I took mine out for the first time.
Get one quick...judging by the bias on the Greenlight insurance thread, there'll be none left after winter LOL
Yeah, but all the examples you've just given show them rounding the right way...Maxx's question I think was why they'd rounded 1,149 up to 1,200 not down 1,100?
I've no idea...always wondered myself though LOL
Great to see what's being offered for the 172/182's, shame I'd be penalised for all the Cup incidents...
Out of idle curiosity...can you say how many have been written off?
I've run mine almost exclusively on Optimax since day one...when I've been caught out and had to use 95, it stutters, coughs, and is a pain in slow moving traffic.
Yep, agree with that Roy.
My wife thinks my brakes are s***, and that the ones on her Focus are "much better". Over assisted, sharp and snappy is what they are in the Focus.
You might have to lean on mine a bit more, but they perform consistently every single time they're called upon...
At the last airfield day there was about 4 secs between Neil's Valver and the 172/182 runners.
Now, if a 172/182 was 1-2 secs quicker than a Cooper S (realistic estimate or not?), then Neil/valvers are within 1-2 secs of a Cooper S...aren't they?
That'd be pretty close in my book.
Not...
