G'day, not sure if the ph2 is the same as the ph1, but go to any motor factors, ask for balljoint, they'll have two on the system, its the 12mm one.
Alternatively get them from NWP's website if you want to order online :)
Pretty sure they do fit mate, I can't say 100% but I'm pretty sure there is only two sizes for the handles, with electric windows, and without. So yeah they should fit.
If I was you, I'd buy it, and just sell it if it it doeesnt :)
Ok so I ordered just a ball joint,
For a Ph1 172 the size is 12mm (this size is the bolt holes)
Changing it was no real problem, however it did throw the tracking out, so warren (Brown Bear) was right.

I've looked in my garage and found some btis of top mounts, but not a whole set, so I think I'll need a new kit.
I phoned my local motor factors and found that a "kit" is about £37, I'm not sure what it includes yet so I guess I'll find out soon.
The thing is, I have no idea if I'm going to be...

Car looks great, very respectable MPG too.
I currently have Compbrake top mounts and they're guff, these are all I've ever had on the car so I don't know what I'll need to replace them...
Part numbers etc would be brilliant...

Mike its exactly what I told you to measure, just do top of one bolt to the top of the other, if you're unsure I am 100% certain now after doing a bit of searching, so if you want a second opinion lemme' know.
I said I loved it the first time, but I still stand by what I said, put the fourth hubcap on, and then give it a damn nice polish etc.
People will still think its slow as hell if its mint, its just nice to care for cars ;)

Does the spring/shock have to come right out to change the top mount?
Indeed I am Mike, you can pretty much feel its the top mounts now, you can get it to "clunk" if you turn left full lock too.
Going to try some standard ones with the washer fix :)
How long will it take us to shove some on? ;)
