I am not 100% sure in all honesty. However the loom and the setup is exactly the same as what was run in BIGASH’s car (the loom came from that car). It all worked in that so I can’t see why it would be different/wouldn’t work.
UPDATE:
A full day of electrics on the car this weekend made easier by having BIGASH around to help, not only being a mate but the builder of the original loom that is very helpful. We had mixed results....
The car really isn't looking its best at the moment, it is great to have such a large...
Since seeing yours up for sale I have seen another person selling for the same reason aswell - I am thinking am I crazy not considering selling... ha
Trophy a new purchase? looks nice
Ah man, so gutted you had to sell up, but if its what you wanted its the right thing. Glad its gone to a mate too, I guess you can possibly keep an eye on it and have a peddle at some point then?
UPDATE:
Not much had happened recently with just a lot of other things on, mainly work 24/7 but this weekend I got a bit more time on it.
First job was to tighten the rear suspension, for some reason one side was loose. I got it all apart, had both rear shocks off, matched everything as I...
God guys.... it must be the mixture of owning a green clio and a baby.... you ain't helping a man out here.... I am determind not to sell mine. I can't take 10 years to build it and then sell it when its just about finished....
Shame to see this Neil, if it is what you want though I wish you...
UPDATE:
I had previously packaged up and sent off my Dash 2 and CAN interface to Race Technology and earlier this week heard back from them, I explained the situation with the Dash and interface and that although it was a 2009 item it was effectively brand new. They confirmed this and said that...
UPDATE:
Very little has happened since the car has been back with me, this is mainly due to having a lot of other stuff on, and after it being away for a while I am out of practice in consistently working on it. I need to get back on it though and get things moving forward - there is enough of a...
You need to get out more mate, reading my waffle is questionable... reading it twice is insane - you ok hun?
I am sure I have missed some things but hey when is a project ever finished....
Good progress again,
There is a load of meat left on that column that could of gone, I guess you still need the key though?
All looking like its progressing well though.
Graham, not sure if you have notification settings on when someone replies or likes a post, but you should of had a few recently from me. I have just gone from the start all the way through, really interesting to read and take notes going through the whole thread.
It has confirmed to me that...
Hopefully, that was what the Race Technology guys seem to say, but they are investigating further and getting back to me.
That would be great if you find anything out. Cheers
It is a bit of an anti-climax to be honest... but yeah it is looking promising and to be honest I have got this far through other problems so whats one more...
As for when I will be out testing it - I am unsure. The aforementioned work I have just had done has wiped me out cash wise so nothing...
UPDATE:
Over the past few days I have been researching the dash issue, it seems that this is actually quite a common problem after hearing from a few people about it.
After speaking with BIGASH he mentioned that the dash or the interface (lead) may need to go back to Race Technology to be...
I think I have completely missed this thread... I am going to have to go back and read from the start.
Great that we have someone involved with Winscombe on this forum - I intend to participate at Winscombe in the future. It is a little while off yet but its a must do for me...
Yeah I may have made a mistake but I will see when I finally start to use it.... I did move it the other day without the steering wheel too, thats even harder... ;)
I haven't. I have only learnt about them this evening so jotted there details down in my list as a reference. I am not even sure I will be still in the area by the time it gets to geo setup but I will see - seems like a pretty good place and is right on my doorstep
UPDATE:
As mentioned yesterday I collected the car from Northampton Motorsport today. They were great and took a decent bit of time talking me through all the work they have done, very happy with the service there and would highly recommend them. I used the same transporter to bring it up to...
