As said, looks like a bargain.
Any idea why it had ph1 lights on? rear ender?
get a 3m kit on the front lights and a skoda splitter and you're on to a winner :)
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
More presents came today in the form of springs. I went for eibach prolines as they came up for sale and the first set I bought fell through as they were misadvertised.
Sportlines are a little lower ya but the red is a little more in your face. Looking like...
Don't know what other sensor would be on top of the engine if it's not camshaft.
Probably silly question but does the car register the oil level is okay when you start up? If you're certain the sensor is okay then options are diagnostics or check the wiring.
I think the part you're referring to is the camshaft sensor which wouldn't cause an oil light on any engine.
I'm not familiar with these engines though so I might have got the wrong sensor.
Are you able to have it plugged into a machine to find any fault codes. Could be another faulty sensor...
Nice easy way to get the manual tensioner tighter is to put a jubilee clip around the hook on the tensioner and the engine bracket. Slacken the tensioner bolt, tighten the clip, do up the tensioner bolt and remove the jubilee clip. Should make it a load better.
I couldn't sell my 182 which was stripped for £2200 and not being bias but mine had a lot more done to it. Essentially it's just a stripped out 182 with 1 or 2 give or take things.
As above £2k absolute max but it would need an MOT and tax for that price.
Flashing EML is commonly an injector. I would have it plugged in if I were you.
You can do this test. If one doesn't make much difference, it's dead.

You just need to put the m3r3 resistor from maplin between the plugs. Push it in quite a long way and fold the end over to make it a bit bigger <that's not sexual advice
Under the seats it's a case of putting a resistor between the 2 wires (neither of them grey - earth) colours change...
As above the things you have changed are plug and play.
The coded set consists of ECU, UCH, decoder ring and key fob. You don't need clocks.
Was the relay in the engine bay clicking with the old unit? If not it sounds like your new one is also dead. Make sure if your car has an N3 UCH your new...
Yeah it would. Not a difficult job though.
Slacked the drive shaft nut.
Drain gearbox oil
Remove shock, lower ball joint, caliper from hub (tie up somewhere)
3 bolts which hold flange to gearbox.
Wack off the hub not forgetting to disconnect the abs sensor.
Swap over abs rings and...
I'm no expert on 197s I'm afraid but lower ball joints in a common problem and from memory very difficult to change without changing the hub carriers. Have a search on here and the 197 forum :)
on this one the disc thing at the front is the bearing.

Absolutely no problems at all. Especially the rears.
Lightly slacken the hub nut with the car on the ground.
Jack up
Wheel off
2x 17mms on the pad carrier
Get the hub nut off fully
Disc off
Wind back the caliper piston using a screw driver
New disc on with the disc spacer the right way...
But the car doesn't have adjustable camber as far as I know. Adjusting the toe would make a minor difference to camber and caster but not as much as needed.
Did you get a before and after geo report. Assume the above is before.
Cars to naturally pull to the left slightly so if you fall asleep...
this has happened on 2 of my clios. On the boot lid on one and the rear 1/4 on the other. In fact on the 182 when it happened I remember laughing at how french it was. The jet washer is pathetic as well!
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Didn't get a chance last night to check the cat! Will do soon :)
Front shocks turned up today from Renault Wolverhampton
According to plan I'm only waiting on
Rear discs
Rear braided lines
Stainless bleed nipples
Cat
Springs
Then I'll be able to get this...
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Only just seen the above. Not sure why I didn't get an email.
oooo I'll have a gander tonight as the evenings are so long now.
It's good to have a bit of technical meat in the thread so exhaust and mount discussions are more than welcome! It's like DCi Mecca
Glad you made it out mate! looks nasty.
To get the radio back all you need to do is call the insurance and ask for them to drop the garage a message, it's instant on the estimating software. They will get the same salvage value regardless of whether the radio is in or not so it's worth your...
