Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
AlexW I would have done exactly the same as you if I'd had the money because this was is a complete PITA. Fair amount of wiring to do the bay side of the car as well.
For a free mod I'm pretty chuffed!
Got hold of a normal climate panel now so I'll fit that...
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Agree about the buttons. I'm looking for one without the horrible texture on so it matches the rest of the trim.
Boost pressure sensor broke today so had to unplug it for the drive in!
Roight, fitted climate control to the dci today. I'm currently using the climate panel from the 182 but firstly it's shagged and all the buttons are turning white. Secondly it doesn't match the rest of my interior due to the horrible rubber coating they put on them.
Anyone know if I can get a...
the back light will be on a circuit linked in with all other dash lights. Common 12v and common earth so is unlikely to be related. Probably a bulb there.
Wire the motor up to a battery!
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Hodgins Thanks mate, shes boring but as luxury as possible. Took a lucky go on the trip clocks based on some not very conclusive forum hunting!
ThomasBrentnall I wouldn't do it again. I've just got in and been out there since 3. This is where I'm at now.

I could do one like my cruise control guide but people will need the interior and part of the bay loom to complete it! Not to mention, the heater box, resistor pack, heater box behind the dash and control panel.
Don't see why not though if you...
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Thought I'd share this with the forum.
Climate control is up and pretested before putting in the car.

Sort of. There isn't a heater. There's a heater matrix which is a small radiator in the heated box and the heat comes from there. Hence the heating doesn't work until the car is warm.
Here's a pic of a ph2 set up, Water comes in and out of those 2 pipes, heat it taken out of the matrix with...
Nah. Negligible gains you wouldn't notice. One of the most disappointing mods I have done on previous cars. Oiled filters aren't good for cars with MAFs but the clio is good on this front.
I had an apexi filter on mine with a forge elbow and that made a difference!
The engine will be heating the heater up as it works from the coolant system so the problem lies with the fan. Do you have climate control or manual fan controls?
Check the fuses though as often a system like this has several fuses running it. I know my climate (ph2) runs on 12v from 4...
100% depends which stereo you have. You can do anything if you work out what needs to be wired in.
Get something like this and drill a hole in the panel above the cup holder (like on the mini)...
I'll do the clocks first as they're 2 terminal connectors.
Once I've got good at that I'll move on to the climate panel which has a stupid amount in and I'm not looking forward to!
Switches will all get done gradually. Luckily I've got a load of spares from breaking so if I bust up not all...
Nothing is beyond anyone if you are just super patient and don't rush!
I'm giving it a go this week and never done anything like it before.
No 182 carpet this time then?
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
I said the update would come one day so here it is in a little more details. Admittedly the car looks boring on the outside. I'd love to make it a rep but it's mv632 so would require a huge amount of spraying and wouldn't come in at less than £1k. I'd rather...
Sometimes the sunroof will leak and not show signs on the headlining. Often my seatbelt gets absolutely soaking after a hard rain and it's the sunroof.
@kpowell911 Good to hear :) A nice and easy fix
@Edges I'm 99% sure the camber isn't adjustable without camberbolts so something must be on the wonk or it's being measured on minutely off level ground. I've had odd camber readings before using a gauge but it was just the ground.
