Yeah the car is sat on my drive all stripped down and preped ready for painting.
I may have to do this one myself as the car is not drivable atm as it has no loom or anything. If i was to get it sprayed at a local garage i was going to get my old man to tow it...

Yeah i'm deffently sure i can buy all decent parts and do it myself for cheaper than that price!
I thought he rented one? But it did cross my mind a while back to see if he wanted to do it but i thought he's probably going to be sick of my car after welding...

Smallish!!!! MY cage runs so close to the A-pillars that the gussets were nearly too big!
The gussests are a perfect size and do the job perfectly :)
Well i just got a quote of £575 from a local body shop to spray the inside silver and the cage black.
So...
My washer fluid bottle is too big as i'm running my loom inside the bulkhead.
Is there a smaller washer fulid bottle from another car what i can use?
1/2 size or smaller

I dont think bolt in cages come loose. I bought a weld in cage because i'm keeping my clio untill she dies so i thought i might as well get a fairly good one.
If your going to sell up in a few months or a year then just get a bolt in cage and you can allways sell it and put the car back to...
There's quite a big selection of coilovers out there which would give you a nice drop. Probably wouldnt bother with just lowering spring at the ride will kill you. I've got H&R coilovers and i find them very good compaired to the cheaper sets on the market. The H&R's soak up the bumps really...

No half measures in this project :)
I could be completly wrong but i thought the actual rollcage stops the chassie from flexing and the gussets stop the shel from flexing.
Proper race cars have them to as it's 95% nearly a race car i though i might as well...
I've done a search and just cant find out where people got their heated windscreens for their track cars.
Google is usless too.
So where did you guys get the heated front screens?

UPDATE TIME!!!!
My cage has been sat in a barn for about 3-4 weeks now, Basically my graduation persent from my parents :)
So last week i drove from huddersfield with all my lifes possesions in the back of the car and got to somewhere in the middle of no where...
Yeah i wouldnt bother stripping it mate, i had the RS Tuner and it was a great improvement. For the gain you get its worth the money
My car is running well, bit of a dodge front right caliper but i'll fix that over the next few days, and my cage is going it today :D
