no LSD...
It's just lack of traction and wheel spinning sending forces through the suspension causing the wheel to bounce up and down and make a nasty noise not done it for over a year but my mate did it in his 1.4 306 the other day oh how i cringed.
there's a name for it but i cant remember it...
happens on any FWD when you spin up the wheels, i did it in a 60brake fiesta.
If its particularly bad it might be a mount issue.
well assume 32mpg compared to 25mpg so thats the extra 7mpg...
thats 28% more economical so 70 tanks may be £210 dearer but you'd require 28% more fill ups with the less efficient fuel...
so you can have 90 fill ups at £3 more each i.e. £270 or use the optimax 70 times and pay £210 extra for...
im not saying 95 ron is better just saying that higher ron aint necessarily better, optimax is clearly the better one. ultimate tesco super, 100 ron etc etc have no advantage IMO
thats optimax, not just any 98 / 98ron then, which was my point, and what I meant when I said the additives. But you know far more about chemistry than me so I appreciate your answer and it backs up my reasoning for not paying extra for any old 98 / 99 / 100 ron, cheers!
thats the thing, 9 out of 10 times u or I would but soooo many people dont do anything about a cold air feed.
hence the reputation, if you know what you're doing fair play but the majority dont and get no gains.
there's ur answer, go see Mike.
independent will always be cheaper, peugeot wanted £300 to do my 205gti timing belt, mates dad a VW Audi specialist did it for £75.
as i always say mixing it is the worst thing you can do in terms of the ecu adjusting the timing to compensate, just gonna confuse it.
a few tanks on optimax then back to 95 ron for a few tanks if you plan to mix.
hence why i said without a good cold air feed...
the fact that I noticeably feel the difference in the heat with the standard air box tells me there's no f**king way an open filter is not gonna be affected more so.
lol all so defensive, my use of the word blame didnt mean anything.
But you can get a UK car from a big dealer like Arnold Shark for the same price as motorpoint anyway, i paid £11,800 in june 04 for a uk 182 from arnold shark and Ally paid maybe £300 less a month before for an 04 172 from...
there's people here who cant even see the difference in having air con on and off so you'll never get a conclusive answer.
Facts:
My car suffers in the heat to the point where it feels sluggish and unresponsive.
An open filter without decent cold air feed will maybe be better when cold or...
