    Silver 172 Huddersfield Uni

    I was waiting for the bus in the pooring rain on Tuesday and a silver 172 with black wheels and sounded like an aftermarket exhuast drove past the uni at about 5:30 i think. I saw a CS sticker on the bottom left hand side of the rear window so i assum its someone off here? :)

    I had it on a race teams corner weights scales ages ago and it weighed like 960 kg I carryed on stripping stuff and weighing it when i took the stuff out. so its now 930kg but i'd like to get it on the corner weight scales to see where the weight is now. Might need to adjust the coilovers...

    I'm ordering my roll cage tomorrow :) and basically want to know wheres the best place to get Gussets from? For people that have fitted them do you need to take the front screen out to do the ones on the A-Pillar?

    I have H&R coilovers and i think they are very good. Work fairly well on track too. Getting two sets of wheels is a deffo when doing tackdays imo, allthough i did the crazy colour on my road wheels and black for my track wheels lol Road wheels Track wheels

    Orange was so last yeah darling lol. The wheels look good but i think getting them properly refurbed in a nice dark gray or a nice silver would make it look mint. Any other plans for the car? trackdays or coilovers?

    I have removed the airbag computer and most of the wiring. It probably stoped the light but when all the dash was out i blanked off the light anyway so its probably not even on :)

    The engine check light (emmisions) will never go out as long as i have my decat. So it might as well get blanked out. I dont have any airbags anymore so the airbag light is useless. Serv light wont go out because of the airbag stuff etc etc Basically I've blanked out lights which will...

    I blanked off my lights the other day. I used the Youtube guide and it really easy to do :) Just make sure you put the needles back on the position as when i went to start mine up it was ideling at -1500 lol

    Re: RB182 Diary Well a fairly decent tyre for the dry is Yoko Prada Spec-2's. They are really cheap and they perform really well (i have them as my road tyres) i think they cost me £38 each which is a cheap price. Where you getting your wheels done?

    Matched inlets is a good thing to do. get a decat instead of the sports car. They are cheaper than sports cat and will give you a better power if you get it remaped.

    Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem I checked the bolt Mr Gray, everything was tight. Its deffently the top hat which is incorrect :( Bit of a shame that my car is unusable once again :(

    LOL, My mrs HATES my whole car, she's gona love it when she has to climb over a roll cage to get in ha ha Car does look really nice, Take the carpet out if yours gona strip more out. I think it must weight about 15kg :eek:

    Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem Yeah, basically becaust its a little bit too long the bolt cant come up enough so it clamps the whole mount together. Should have some news on it tomorrow hopefully, if not i'll give K-tec a little ring :)
