Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
I did excactly what you have said. Jacked the engine up so the whole mount was tight and tightened the bolt up as much as it would go. Deffently would not do up any more as the big silver top hat was as low as it would go and the bolt as tight as it would go...
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem

I tryed placing the washer both ways round as one side was tapers a little but they both...
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
Hmmmm i dont think there is anything trapped as the bolt wont tighten up any more as the bit silver dics is eating into the bit where the thread ends on the bolt/shaft
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
This is what it looked like when i fitted it the first time
But the little black washer thing which went on first rattled around and thats deffently not right.
I cant put my old gearbox mount on either as it was f*cked
not happy!

The V-tec on the new engines isnt at hardcore at on the old engines like the B16 thats in my mates CRX. The noise practly gets twice as loud when it kicks in, makes me smile :)
Nice car tho Russ, should be a beast with the mods you have planned :)
Oh wicked, hopefully go to FCS this year, I was at Le Mans and the Nurburgring last year.

Just:

Cage
New wheels
And lots of trackdays :)
Yeah, the roads in huddersfield are so bumpy and full of pot holes its hard to get the power down. My friend in a stripped out Saxo VTS can sort of keep up with me to about 60 its only over 60 where i pull away.
I cant wait to get the car back on a track this year. Thats where i can use all...
Yeah theres quite a few. 6 warning lights to be excact lol

I dont have TC or ABS, dont need either of them.
Just balance the throttle when driving and look far enough ahead so you dont need to slam on.
And when i'm on track i just feel where i'm on the limit of grip when accelerating and braking.
:)
Re: Project 172:Unknown Direction
I see what you mean about not been able to weld the harness bar in the right place. Thats a bit of a bu*ger.
Wouldnt mounting the harnesses a little bit higher be better than where they are now?
Cage does look good tho.
Cant wait to get mine :)
