As the title suggests! Roof is going black this month (sending a few messages now) but I also need a sun strip as some muppet (me) removed the sun visors when the car went on a diet.
I was thinking a black sun strip, but with the black roof I was a bit uncertain if it would make the roof look...
Didn't think about sealing them after with silicone, that isn't a bad shout!
What I'll probably do it get some grommets and then give them to whoever wraps the roof to put in aafter so it's a neat finish. I would wrap it myself by after the botched sun strip I am not doing a roof!!
Removed the ariel and it's left two small hols (4mm and a 10mm). Currently it is gaffa tapped up, but I am getting the roof wrapped as water marks have burnt into the lacquer and its cheaper than getting it painted, it's a track car so would rather spend the money on performance upgrades.
So...
I paid £450 for my custom exhaust, including fitting, from Infinity Exhaust, based next to Junction 18 of M4 (may be a little more for a 182 with the twin exit). I got everything except the manifold made, including decat and centre silencer. Made in about 3 hours while I waited. Not too far from...
Like the cage a lot. Seems simple to fit as well, as I really cba with welding and stripping loads and loads out to fit one.
Which eBay one is it? As the one that looks like this says Clio in the title but syas Saxo in the description and its pictured not in a Clio!
Is it this one with the...
Those engine pictures are pure filth. This makes me realllyyy jealous....this is what I am working towards with mine - keep it NA with a lairy set of cams. Boost is all too common now, and boring.
I like this a lot.
Also, is that a skate ramp in the back of your garage? Looks like it in one of...
Exhaust = SORTED!! Took it down to Infinity first thing this morning, was in there less than 30mins and it was mended. Got them to fit a Powerflex exhaust mount to replace the one that broke. Good service again, I cannot fault.
But the car has now developed a whining noise which I think is...
Hmmm I am hoping any new noises will die down with time and it bedding in. Just didn't expect it to make a new noise in start up, could be the whole car shaking instead of just the engine as isn't this the time when there is most movement?
Not really looked into the gear box whine, all I know...
Fitted an Evol dog bone mount on the weekend and now the car is making a different noise.
I was expecting extra vibrations and vibration noises, but it makes a more of a 'hollow' sound on start up and idle, as if the exhaust isn't actually attached (currently sat In an exhaust place for an...
First bit of proper tinkering since Combe last month. So the bag of goodies I had to fit
Coil Pack, HT leads, injectors, sun strip and an Evol Engineering dog bone mount. Only changing the leads and pack as precaution, my brother thought there was a slight missfire and I can't find any paper...
Changed the coil pack - one I bought didn't fit. Didn't do that job
Changed the HT leads - ones I bought didn't fit, so didn't do that either.
Changed the injectors - success!!
Fitted an Evol dog bone mount - success!!
Fitted a sun strip - couldn't get it right so removed it. In hindsight the...
Three new tyres for the daily Clio currently being fitted. Spent more time and effort on that this month than the 172. I may have to buy something for the 172 to restore order!
Need to get a sunstrip as I don't have sun visors anymore. What are people using? I would like a tinted one that goes on the inside, but would rather do that when I need to replace my windscreen.
So was thinking this one, but not sure if it is like the old Cup racers, or plain stupid, would be...
Don't worry about it. I never have.
My car is now also sat for weeks as it's not the daily and the discs go discoloured. Driving it a few miles solves this.
I paid £440 fitted and lifetime warrenty for a 2.25" system including a decat and centre silencer with choice of tip and noise (everything apart from the manifold, which they do make there if you really want). Utter bargain I thought.
By the looks of it they will do anything you want. A proper...
If it rains heavy over night the rears on mine stick on when I get in it in the morning. Just drive it and it forces the brakes to free up, first tiem I did this I thought I hit something.
I know it could be a bit of a trek but I got mine done at Infinity Exhausts, just off junction 16 of M4 (near Swindon). They made it while I waited and was a bout three hours.
Not much has happened recently, I have been busy since Combe. But this has turned up:
Hopefully this will help, and will put my arse into gear in getting the other bushes done. Will probably get a grage to do it as I do not have the patients to do all the bushes or really fair on my brother to...
Serviced the daily Clio. Hope that will give it a new lease of life.
Not seen the 172 in about 3 weeks, hope it starts first time tomorrow when I go to my dads. It won't as its French.
Damn mine has had a replacement screen!!! When I replace the screen as mine is cracked and chipped (apparently for the second time!) this looks like a nifty thing!!
Trade n Save are the old Renault garage, opposite Tesco opposite the old cattle market. They did my cam belt change. They are Renault specialists and did a good job of mine. Or Renault? Do they have a workshop?
If you can a few days before spay some WD40 onto the bleed nipples for a few days before hand to help free them up. I also second the Ezebleed, it took two minutes to do and got it spot on first time. Get about 3x 500ml of brake fluid, you might not need the third bottle but it is best to have...
Black front end looks smart, even better against the red. I was going to to the same on mine, but went agaisnt it and just did the grill bit. Glad I didn't as I have seen a few Titaniums with it and it doesn't look right. Yours is spot on. Have you thought about gong black front lights?
I also...
