    Gearbox oil idiotic move

Ragged it down the motorway and down some country roads and feels great. Engine always seems to revs better with a flush but the box is smooth. No crunches into third. Happy to service CS members cars. Will cost you 6 litres of oil though.

    Gearbox oil idiotic move

Jesus. I'm not going to complain anymore Haha. Going to buy some elf oil anyway and just change it next weekend after the engine oil has mixed with the comma stuff. Pretty sure I got most of it out anyway but theres always some left over. Was really dark when i drained it

    Gearbox oil idiotic move

Servicing my clio today I managed to put a litre of engine oil into my gearbox ? Had forgotten I'd ordered a top up and just thought it was 4 litres of gearbox oil in little bottles. Nightmare. I've since driven slowly to halfords redrained and filled with this...

Can't get fuel rail guard off

The cable ties will be because it's not securing down onto the rail properly when it's been removed. Probably had new injectors at some point in its life? Definitely been a bodge by a garage threadlocking a nut backwards, or a friday! Can get the hose connection from ktec if you want to replace...

Anyone managed to acctually fit a gearstick bush repair kit?

Soak it in boiling water and work quickly. If you want to make it stiffer put an o-ring around the middle of the ball inside. I found it's best to use some small screwdrivers to lever one side in then work it round.

When I cleaned inside I used brake cleaner, when I did the outside I just used some degreaser. Many man times. I agree, they weren't real bright and they were the nicer style than the Ebay ones. Just makes it look cleaner with no stickers down the side and going to machine polish it when I...

Sure is mate, i love it! Having a garage is an added bonus as i've not got my tools all around the house! Makes the Mrs happy too. Saw your nilfisk had broken, real odd. Was it new? Rust is a pain. Just bought some deox gel and some dynax s50 to get all the sills treated. I checked before and...

Moved house recently and I've finally got a proper driveway. Treated myself to a pressure washer and snow foam lance during the move! Washed it after it being filthy for 2 months and used snow foam for the first time too. Decent for a pre wash and definitely helps reduce the amount of crap going...

To gap or not to gap (question to the welders)

Slight gap surely? You're penetrating the inner tube, but also building onto the exterior. Weld will be strong than the surrounding steel

Might take the plunge on some of these tiles then. They're only around £60 for enough tiles to do the whole garage.
