dont you just love it when a plan comes together?! I sold my pug 205gti the day it went in the autotrader at the asking price and then had about 15 more phone calls about it after.
I was luckier than you though cause I already had my 182, no wait!
Oh by the way, its well worth the wait
GTI will be common as muck when its out, Type R is more common than 182 too - like to be a little bit original with these things personally. Im sure the golf will be a good car though as is the ctr
How often do they calibrate gatsos? I went through one on an unrestricted dual carriageway i.e. national speed limit (70mph) and I was doing about 66 and it flashed me twice! It is definitely a 70mph zone I was paranoid afterwards so checked the signs but nothing came of it as I wasnt speeding.
thats a bit pants, are you going to get quotes from other companies? I think there should be better savings than that from companies that appreciate trackers.
If you go ahead Id be very interested to find out what sort of saving you do get.
Anyone had an aftermarket tracker fitted to their 172 / 182 or whatever? If so does it have a significant effect on the insurance? i.e. will it pay for itself pretty quickly?
Cheers
Insurance is good, Im 23 and my 182s insured for a Glasgow postcode @ £850.
Warranty makes it kind of worthwhile, get them to throw in 2 years servicing! Youll find 04 182s on sale for £10,500 probably...
Well call arnold clark Bearsden or Bishopbriggs near Glasgow - Pre registered ones - I got one for £11900 in Arctic Blue myself with about 7 miles on the clock (back in June) Have seen them in the branches since.
And Arnold Clark will get you the car you want whatever garage its at apparently!
If you could post the part number up when you receive it Id appreciate it. No scratches yet (just a little crack in my wing mirror housing - hit a dam tree!)
VTS is a good wee motor but I think everyone will assume its just another VTR.
106gti looks a bit different at least, youre hardly gonna assume its a quicksilver are you?!
GTI 6 would be a blast, or a Rallye or S16 even depending on how much you have to spend.
Theres a bloke in Glasgow / Edinburgh who travels between Glasgow & Edinburgh everyday on the M8 motorway with the registration M8 SUX, I thought that was quite amusing one day on the M8 cause it does suck!
I was gonna buy R10 ORY for mine, my initials and my name, then it disappeared, booo!
R10 RYS would be good too, shame I cant get R182 ORY (would look good on the audi whatever I have in a few years) lol
I was cruising along the dual carriageway (boring straight road) when a guy passed me in a golf or something - his gf / wife was staring big time, a lot of people ask me if its a v6 lol I wish!
Pah stuff the insurance, the £27k price tag kinda gets in my way of having a v6!
Hi Honey, Im home... such a cliche, bet youve not heard that one before.
I have no idea, you dont see too many of them about eh. £11k 2nd hand, well I paid not a lot more for a brand new 182. Whats the equipment level like?
Just goes to show the value you get in a 182 I reckon.
Its a nice looking car and being a pug Im sure itll handle nicely. Seats are classy, but I hear its not that great a car? Is it not pretty expensive too?
know any shops which sell desperados in the uk? I struggle like mad, usually order it online.
Was in France last week, 6 for £4 in the supermarkets - jammy gits! Was drinking pints of it in an Irish bar of all places.
desperados beinf french tequila beer?! I love that stuff!!!
not when driving of course
welcome to the forum saz18, Im pretty new here myself

1. 12k miles unlike the 18k on normal clios. Watch your oil level within the run in period and before the first service, they tend to eat up the oil in some cases.
