A plus point would be that by the time you had done the whole car you would have arms like popeye.
Scratch X is really just for small areas, it needs to be worked quite hard to get any kind of result. Far better to use one of the filler polishes as advised above.
I use an old oral b electric toothbrush with one of the realy soft brushes that come free when you buy a new one and never use, with some concentrated shampoo. Works a treat.
I've said it before, the Megs kit is a really good starting point if you're a little unsure, quite a fine clay which if you follow the instructions and lube plenty is very difficult to do any harm whilst also doing the job.
Yes, an increase of an eighth is quite a lot, i wonder how long it will be before others do the same as this rise is obviously a consequence of the weakness of the pound and it seems most of the best products are sourced out of the UK.
Hope you guys who need stuff got in there, prices have gone up by 12.5%:(, i think i saved myself about £25 on my pot of BOS, big bottle of shampoo and other bits and bobs.
Just a heads up for any of you guys planning buy any Swissvax products in the near future, their website has announced a price increase from Jan 1st.
Get in there quick.
Tbh i'm not sure why people spend a lot on glass products, newspaper is brilliant. the reason it works is that it is very abbrasive (so keep it away from the paintwork) rolled into a ball and used to dry the glass means that i hardly ever need to use my wipers.
Right, i read it incorrectly, it makes more sense now. Looking for a new sealant for the T and the Zaino stuff does seem to have a good rep, your thumbs up?
Went on to Zaino's american site and they recommend using the ZFX accelerator before first application of the Z2, is this just a cleaner or does it provide some kind of bond for the Z2?
There has been some debate about this over on CT as there seems to be no definitive answer with even Renault service departments giving conflicting info. I can't see Reno making any change to their stance either as it would probably make them liable. I think the crucial thing is the age...
You ought to try telling that to the 182 owner over on renaultsport, aux belt went after four years and 24k, just been presented with a bill for £4600+ by Renault.
Yep that's exactly what i would do, my first reaction was to scrunch up my face in disapproval.
So i'll just recommend a good mild shampoo- duragloss or my fave swissvax and britemax final finish to help with the drying then?
LOL Honest guv it's not me, having previously had superguard:o on mine i wouldn't do it again i love working on mine but both my neighbour and another trophy owner have asked.
I've been asked this before and have just been asked again, do you have to use particular shampoo, can you use final finish, can you layer a wax over the top(is there any point?) Clearly you can't use any polishes etc i was just wondering how to keep it tip top during the washing process.
Thanks
The number of owners is a little concerning but not a deal breaker, it's been serviced more times in three years than most get in there whole lives and it is listed over on CT so you can check the history. No problem.
