give euro car parts a try for a center section - they are around £50 for a pattern part (they quoted me this a few weeks ago)
I have just fitted a backbox from them and it fitted like a glove
my first car had a cherry bomb on ( 1 litre uno ) and i loved it haha it was LOUD though...wait until you hear your new system and then decide on the decat
58 quid fitting is a bit much i would say, its a sub 1 hour job for a garage with all the tools at hand, i would personally fit it myself and save having to pay a garage
to check the exhaust wait until the engine is hot and on a cool day today you will be able to see the steam escaping , if you can't see anything see if you can feel anything on your hand
I am sure it will be fine as you sound like you trust your mate to do the job - its not a complex engine providing you have the right tools as mentioned - is he doing the dephaser too?
not sure which ones you are reffering to but i had a bad experience with cheap ebay discs & pads (for an alfa 147 though) - shite fitment and ended up not fitting the pads and having to buy again - buy from a respected brand or outlet and dont go for the cheapest is my advice

yup it will just be your clutch begging you to stop....fine every now and then (probably) but wont do the longevity of the clutch any good
looking good, cant believe how clean your clay bar was though - i put up pictures last weekend of mine after claying and the bar was in a right state :)
what could go wrong - if he doesn't know what he is doing it could be BOOM! honestly though i wouldn't let him touch it unless he knows what he is doing
this has just happened to my backbox , got a replacement for 56 (pattern) however the center section is also blowing now too, if you want to fit and forget then full stainless is the way to go. ktec full system without center silencer is just shy of 300 (stealth)
