give euro car parts a try for a center section - they are around £50 for a pattern part (they quoted me this a few weeks ago) I have just fitted a backbox from them and it fitted like a glove

the backbox fell off my cup recently & it was very loud & boomy - did sound good at times though

58 quid fitting is a bit much i would say, its a sub 1 hour job for a garage with all the tools at hand, i would personally fit it myself and save having to pay a garage

to check the exhaust wait until the engine is hot and on a cool day today you will be able to see the steam escaping , if you can't see anything see if you can feel anything on your hand

not sure which ones you are reffering to but i had a bad experience with cheap ebay discs & pads (for an alfa 147 though) - shite fitment and ended up not fitting the pads and having to buy again - buy from a respected brand or outlet and dont go for the cheapest is my advice

no back pressure needed on a turbo car, ran a straight through turbo back on my old scooby.....love the 500s though!

this has just happened to my backbox , got a replacement for 56 (pattern) however the center section is also blowing now too, if you want to fit and forget then full stainless is the way to go. ktec full system without center silencer is just shy of 300 (stealth)
