    ITB's backfire why?

All the injectors ok? No air leaks? You mean Jenvey ;)

RichjWilliams - Track Day Trophy #343

You need 5mm spacers with the ET35 1.2s. I also ground a bit of material off the callipers for better clearance.

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Haha yeah I'm not the only one! ;) Its mounted with a alloy bracket I made and a cable tie. The fan is fitted with a fan fitting kit. I'll be selling the rad and fan when I start stripping the silver one.

    Pro race 1.2 with 205/50/15 on 182

You don't need camber or 195 tyres tyres for ET35. You can run between ET 45-25 with 195 or 205. ET35 is better for clearance all round with shocks, inner arches etc.

    172 ph1 gearbox go bang!

Put a 172 cup gearbox in, it has a better final drive which suits the car much more. The Ph1 box makes it feel a bit lazy in comparison. So get a JC5 129 instead of the JC5 089. Both are speedo drive boxes and a straigh swap for one another.

    Front calipers for 172 cup

Its my place of work unfortunately so Friday and Saturday are out. I'll be around there tomorrow from around 7am until about 6.30pm. Otherwise if you pay by gift I'll do them for £35 and get them to the courier tonight so you should have them for the weekend.

    Front calipers for 172 cup

Yeah mine came off my Ph1 before I put the Brembos on, they work perfectly. Postage and paypal fees would make it £40. I'd take £25 cash if you collected from CH4 0DR

    Front calipers for 172 cup

I've got some ready to post if it helps. £30 in good working order

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

The current one needs a diff. Surely more power and torque will make this even more apparent...ffs Renault.

Spacers for track car. What's max for rear and front?

Normally on FWD the rear is narrower than the front to make it understeer less. But all that changes when you start playing with different geometry settings and suspension anyway. Personally I'd like to go as wide on the back as possible

Mk1 FRS would be nice. Would you make that as mint as the Ph1?

    ClioIV RS Trophy?

The box is good. I hope they keep it but have a full manual paddle mode with no beeps and stick a diff in it. They won't though. It'll be paint, wheels, remap and 5mm lower for an extra £3k or something

Track Tyres - Feedback and Recommendations

My new car came with these on the front. It was chucking it down on the drive home and they seemed great. Very good in the dry too. They are very wide for a 195 profile tyre. As wide as 205 RSRs

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Picked it up and pretty happy with it. A few things I want to sort out apart from the swapping of parts. Bonnet weighs a tonne so will look at a fibreglass one. Either that or the Ph1 front end conversion...really don't know whether to do that or not. Throttle is very heavy and needs some...

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

It could be a problem. I know someone else with a Ph2 Clio with the same issue. I'd say there's probably hundreds nocking around with rust. Yeah the "When two become one" project should be good! Although heavier over the front than my ph1 by about 23kg by my reckoning. I tried Rota...

    Fuel setups

My current car runs a return and a pressure regulator in the rail. The new one has no return or regulator. Which is best?!

new source for a torsen diff!

Bargain! My mate runs a torsen in his supercharged MX5, feels the same as a quaife tbh.

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Very similar tyres and pressures then. So if you use the same ratio mine came out with yours works out as 209bhp and 169lbft. Which is what I'd expect tbh considering you're on 421s

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

FYI Martin mine was mapped on semi slicks with the pressure a bit low so on RS Tuning rollers is made 152 at the wheels and the printout said 184 at the flywheel. So then when I had mine mapped on the ITBs (with the same wheels and tyres) it made 172 at the wheels and that worked out as 208bhp...

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

Yeah the rust is right the way through the sill, both sides. And on the driver side it goes up and around the inner to outer arch seam. One of my considerations is to put the Ph1 front end on the cup.
  29. Grandpa Joe

    ITB'd Road & Track Ph1 Titanium 172

The Ph1 is getting cubed. I took the rear door cards off to trial fit the cage and the sills are funked on both sides. To say I was gutted when I saw it is an understatement. The MOT is up in early April so to save any hassle swapping my private plate over I thought it would be best to make a...
