Got/have had a few Sonos bits over the years, currently got a Roam and an Arc, both spot on tbf but don't really use the Sonos app as the Arc is controlled by the TV and the Roam has airplay and bluetooth.
Yeah don't bother with a mechanical HDD, I did exactly the same thing and compared with running games from the NVMe it's no contest.
Get a second NVMe (if the mono supports it) or a big 2.5" SSD for your games.
Was playing Blacklist the other day and wondering if we were ever going to see another splinter cell, but I'll settle for a remake.
Wouldn't want to know how many days I put into Chaos Theory.
When the guy installed ours we didn't even take a screen. Think it tells us on the app but I don't wanna know how much the IT in my flat costs me a day
As above, go UniFi, either the UDM or pick up a few access points and go from there.
Mesh or multi-AP setup is a must if you’ve got a big house or signal issues.
So far I am enjoying them, the device switching is even smoother now in Monterey which is nice.
I’m gonna use the next 2 weeks to decide if they’re comfortable and return if necessary.
If you find the gen 3s aren’t comfy, I’d defo try the Pros as they sit in your ear quite differently.
It’s the same M1 chip as the other 1st gen M1 products (iMac, 13” MBP etc) and in the iMac at least it’s really great, everything is instant and it’s a proper capable device.
Unless you’re planning on some heavy photo or video editing I’d say the M1 is fine, but sounds like the M1 Pro will be...
Fair play eeking out a series 3 this long!
I went from the original to the S4 when that came out and it was a massive jump.
Not much has really changed since the series 4 so I've stuck with it.
Enjoy the upgrade.
My 14 Pro turned up today, safe to say it's a complete beast, even just with the modest spec.
I don't have anything original to say about it but it does feel like everything the Mac should be, no weird gimmicks like the previous ones (looking at you TouchBar and USB C only).
I've recently switched from ExpressVPN to Hotspot Shield and I'm pleasantly surprised, app is a bit nicer and seems to run smoother.
This is why I switched
I started the story fresh when I got my Pc, made it to about 50% completion after 40+hrs before swapping to Cyberpunk and now Far Cry 6.
Fully intend on going back and trying to finish the main story as it's such a good game, just need to pump a good amount of time into it.
I didn't say how big the fans were....
But yeah, pre-built and being first gaming PC I was not fully apprised of the requisite fan count.
Runs well though... fewer fans to get dust stuck in yo
I'm torn on the new Pros, specs look amazing, getting on the Apple silicon will only make things better... but they're proper spenny, 14" is the same price as the previous 16" and the design is somewhat questionable, bit boxy, black keyboard mounting, notch and ugly ports haha
Have you given the keyboard a go yet?
Just replaced my Razer huntsman with the G915 TKL and the tactile keys are proper nice, plus the multi device support is good for work and home.
