a few years back I was streaming internet radio in my clio GT because It had a Bluetooth stereo, back then I only had a 500mb data allowance, I done it one month and ran up a £150 bill and didn't bother doing it again lol!!
172's after a certain year use the same "cup spec" extra castor bottom arms, balljoints are the same, my 2002 52 plate has them, I had an 02 that didn't.
all you need is the front hubs with 182 cup bolt spacing for the dampers, and although not needed you would want the extra castor "cup spec"...
no point spending the cash on ds2500 on a 1.2, speak to G172 on here he will sort you out with Mintex fast road pads at half the price of the Feroddos and Brembo HC discs along with superblue brake fluid, ive just fitted this combo onto my 172 along with braided lines and they are night and day...
lol if I owned a garage and had a new owner do that id ram the driveshaft up his rear end!
if it has the wrong abs ring then the abs will be kicking in all the time when breaking and the speedo may play up.
if not then chances are as much as it may look different its still doing the correct...
ah right always wondered what the corrected figure was for.
it went really well that car, sold it about 4 years ago though! went a lot better than my current one :dapprove:
sorry for the late reply just saw this, of course the usual RR issues can affect the figures both runs were done about a year apart, on the same rollers, with mainly the same "other" cars there who ran pretty consistent year to year, so that gave me a reasonably accurate figure of what I gained...
ok so the reviews aren't on their side generally, and after myself having a nose about it its not something id consider either but I genuinely wonder how much they would have sold had they been able to offer the cars quickly?
the problem I see now is Renault seem to be refusing to offer...
182 exhaust manifold gives you more mid range torque.
I went from standard 172 with 173bhp/145lb/ft to same car with 182 manifold, decat, matched inlets, itg panel filter, samco bend and k-tec stealth and ended up with 188bhp/159lb/ft
yep that looks like magnex as it has the plate that goes under the standard exhaust mount and attaches to that hanger on the opposite side, my old ph1 came with one, it sounded better than the k-tec stealth that replaced it but on the way home it got massively louder one night on the motorway...
fastchip map limiter is 7800rpm.
ive got a new thermostat and coolant temp sensor on my engine and occasionally even after 15 minutes of warming up I can still catch the lower limiter
Went over to help my mate clean up his 182 ready for sale so decided to take some pictures, excuse the poor quality only had my phone on me, decided to throw my un washed flamer in for a few (being unwashed I suppose makes the 182 look even better than it actually is lol!!)
I went from 172 manifold with standard cat to 182 manifold and decat, on a car with exhaust and filter already and noticed a healthy difference mid range, was very impressed, im sticking one on my current one although using a sports cat and my current standard exhaust so will see how it goes...
ive also owned one and driven loads in various state of tune, and from brand new to 100,000 miles. standard ones will always let off a flutter when you lift off just as it boosts, its the sound of the boost being recirculated into the inlet manifold
lag is normal on them if its just a quick but of lag between gears like you said.
you will also hear it flutter slightly lower down the revs, again like you explained, all normal
