then use a cold start fix map designed for 95ron fuel, as chip said, running 95 ron fuel on your car and using part throttle etc will be fine, thats what you have to do in the case you cant get 98ron, but driving it quick with 95 ron fuel in it when running a 98 ron fuel map isnt good at all...
the 197/200 box will physically fit in your bay, unlike the clio2/twingo but wont bolt straight on, not sure how viable it is to make up an adaptor plate to join the 2 of them together
why would you go to the expense of having your car remapped to run on 98 ron fuel then run it on standard 95???
thats like changing your ditch finder tyres for R888's and saying you dont think they do much at all because it doesnt feel any different on your 0.5 mile 30mph drive to work...
elia wind looks awesome lol!!..
The wind wasnt like the twingo where they ran different suspension setups for the GT 1.2tce and the renaultsport 1.6 16v 133, the wind all runs the Twingo RS suspension setup regardless of engine, which means the 1.2 TCE handles the same, both are ment to be a...
£100 more expensive than the FK's though!
ive never heard of anyone running them on clios, from looking about on here anyway, on the other hand loads are and have ran FK's with good results. Remember the video of Fred's 1.2 16v lapping a track quicker than a standard 182 when he was running FK's!
diesel or dont bother, i had a GT DCi106, best car i owned, loved it! sold it for the worst car i ever owned, silly mistake.
however ive got a hard on for GT TCE twingos now, what a riot, id have blown many of these up if we had them when i was 17!!
its a pain to fit but worth every bit of effort imo, best mod i ever done.
drop subframe, undo steering collum pinch bolt, remove manifold lying on floor cursing and swearing, realise after all the swearing that the 182 manifold is even bigger! sqeeze it back in, refit it all back together and...
depends if you want a track car to eventually compete in or just a track car for fun. competeing wise im not sure as its not something ive looked into, track wise though id go for something along the lines of...
ph1 172 or 172 cup
all the usual weight saving mods
air con delete if required...
agreed, they are awesome fun, and extremely capable, and to be honest the fuel consumption wasnt really an issue to me as i didnt do much miles but it was still always in my mind making me feel a bit robbed!! it was 10mpg less than what i would have got out my 172's but then again my GT DCi was...
awesome job well done! and good idea with the black roof to hide the sunroof!
need to get the little stickers for the front bumper that tuck in the grill above the reg plate, picky people notice it, it annoys me too lol!
in the 172/182 yes but never in the 200 (and i assume 197 but never driven one), 200 was smooth and sounded brilliant high up the revs, 172/182's sounded like they were going to blow lol you could even feel it through the metal pedals!
i never saw above 24mpg in my 200, most days it sat around...
run out house as quick as possible as its f**king freezing, fall, get up, get in car, heaters off, start car, hold revs at 2000rpm for 30 seconds, heaters on full blast for 30 seconds, window cleared :)
worth noting Tesco are doing Lumia 800's for £130 pay as you go, or £115 if you spend £30 or more in store.
Amazon doing unlocked sim free for £150, just ordered my mrs one for xmas!
generally i use market value as a rough guide, the price i pay is what i decide its worth to me, id have no 2nd thoughts about spending 4k on an absolute mint 172 if it was low millage, full history, as close as you can get to imaculate on a 10yr old car.
gonna stick a set of 182 injectors on it and watching a few megane 225/230 intercoolers on ebay as they pop up cheap and the pipework isnt a problem for me to sort out, that way i can get a nice 130-140bhp with similar torque levels to what ive got the now. then its getting left at that! lol...
if i was looking for one id be interested in that if it was at the right price.
low miles, looks pretty good nick from the pics, id bet the standard wheels have hardly been used too! belts done by specialist.
carpark dings as much as they are a pain, these cars ding so easy and lucky they are...
agreed, anyone who says "they dont handle that great" hasn't driven one, of course its not as razor sharp as a clio RS, it isnt ment to be. i love them! never had the pleasure to drive an RS.
aye gaz its brilliant should have took it a blast the day.
needs a set of tyres first its got ditch finders on it and 3rd gear off a roundabout in the wet and it will light up a wheel lol now got the same torque as a standard 172 lol
Was on the RR at Extreme Motorsport today and made 118bhp @ 4870rpm and 143lb/ft @ 3,360rpm
its power levels off at 5000rpm but holds it until 6500rpm, i think this is where henk has held it back due to injectors.
Car has been running spot on since the updated map so a big thanks to henk, and...
