    clutch damage

It'll more likely be that you'll be able to keep it in 3rd instead of having to change down to 2nd.

Anyone running a PMS sump guard? - Increased vibration?

I think a stitch/seam welded subframe would provide a bit more strength too. Probably something i'd look at if i had the subframe off.

    Which driveshafts for 182?

GKN made the diffs for the Megane R26, so they're not going to be poor quality IMO.

    Kubica M4 Ring Lap

Different drivers in different cars will have different lines. All depends on the car really. Aero, mechanical grip and braking performance will all be a factor. Trackday instructors are mostly there to tell you the safest line and to get you driving smoothly. This usually makes you quicker if...

Using tyre profile to change your 'gearing' ?

Plus the MR2 will have a completely different roll centre to a lowered Clio. That's the main issue with Clios, you fit coilovers but then need to correct the roll centre in order to bring some of the handling back.

Adjusting gear selector - tips required

I believe the way to do it is to put the box in reverse manually and then put the gearstick in it's reverse position and tighen up the linkage.

Probably water trapped inside the gaitors and it's just sat there and corroded the finish.

    Pulley part number

    Yeah should be fine.
  21. Mr Trailer Man

    Pulley part number

There has been a few kits from Renault where the pulley has been missing, so that's probably why it wasn't changed.

    Cup alternator?

I'm guessing you're fitting a Valeo unit? As that's about the only one that's worth fitting unless you want to do it again in a week's time 😂

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Yeah that should do it. Mixed 1:10 and spray on and leave to dwell for a few minutes, then rinse off and wash as normal with a plain shampoo.
  26. Mr Trailer Man

    Cup alternator?

A Cup one won't fit the AC mounting positions. There's loads of alternators about that have that connection on the wrong way...

Sounds like tree sap to me. Maybe it's been partially washed off or spread around the car as you were washing it. Do you have any citrus pre wash or something to try all over the car to help break down the sap before washing?

    Trailer advice

That's correct. It's the trailer plated weight plus the car's max weight stated on its sticker.
