I’ve got various lights (being a torch geek) inc snap on puck lights etc.
I bought this the other week and it’s actually really good. Has magnet on bottom and back, the lamp part can go to 180° and then spin round so you can close it back up with the LED out even. The lamp LED is fully...
All they need for the road is decent tyres (I really rate continental contisport 3’s) and maybe spend the modding money on freshening up the chassis, shocks for it (if they look old) & just refreshing things a bit (bushes etc)
I’d imagine it’s all statistic based stuff ie out of xxx amount of policies 75% of the accident claims were involving the policy holders partner rather than the policy holder despite the fact they do way less miles. Has to be some stat behind it, they’re just trying to cover their arse.
If you...
It may well be better for noise on the motorway etc, need to get some more seat time as felt like crap today so couldn’t do it.
Did manage to also bin the LED fog lights for OE and bin the black painted grill for OE. Was quite satisfying snapping that up and stuffing it in the bin.
Sorry, only drove about a mile or so back home as my head’s been pounding. Almost abandoned fitting but.. MOT tomorrow.
Honestly though (from the brief drive) I’d say below 2krpm it feels a bit more Wooly, not as crisp & snappy.
Best bit about this car is how different it is to my stock car...
I just use washing up liquid, warm water from the kitchen tap and agitation with a nail brush on my suede part. Always comes back really well and it’s very old and every few months looks hard and smooth.
Well, I’ll let you know today (as I’m going to fit one to mine) and I’ll MOT it tomorrow too.
My car is the perfect test for this conundrum. It makes 185 (dyno) on various mods and has a straight through exhaust currently. I’ve never known the car any other way.
Everyone says a cat makes no...
I think working mobile fleet and hgv for 10 years shaped the way I care for tools.
Start out caring, drying them off and after a while you’re on your back wondering how you ended up doing this... dragging your new impact gun through the wet mud & your tools are all soaked through. It’s when...
Why are people getting their knickers in a twist about someone changing cars after years owning it?
Do you all have your first car still?
I must have gone through 30+ cars in a few years at one point.
That’s it, Britool makes expert (former draper expert to get away from draper name) Under same banner as Facom too?
Pretty sure modern blue point stuff is just rebranded Chinese stuff like laser etc? Certainly looks very similar to all the other cheaper tools with the blue point name just...
I did buy some deep 3/8” Bosch impact sockets but the set misses a 14 & 18 out, they are really well made though and a lot thinner than most cheap impact sockets.
Otherwise my stuff is snap on impact wise (shorter ones and I have the wobble ones etc)
I’d never actually bothered with deep 3/8”...
Seems logical to get a 3/8” if you’ve got a 1/2” already but then again if you’re equipped with 1/2” sockets there’s no reason not have it in 1/2” I guess.
If you do go 3/8” I’d recommend getting some deep or semi deep impact sockets though. They do fit in smaller spaces but you might find...
I just take mine off and wash it with dish soap & water and a nail brush, towel dry it and let it dry indoors. It actually comes up really well.
Mine must be at least 15 years old, a momo with a suede top part. I dug it out the garage recently after a good 10 years unused (I’d actually hung it...
Very nice. What size is your steering wheel? (Looks perfect)
I like what you’ve done actually and will prob do similar with my track car (carpet mat etc)
Nice, I have a few Olights. Don’t get sucked into the flashlight world, before you know it you’ll have a custom built titanium light with high output, high CRI and tritium vials on the body (as you’re on SN have you seen Matt on there has his own YT channel on them?)
I’m not saying they’re snake oil at all and honestly, if you have a trusted specialist near you I’d use them as they know the cars inside out. All I’m saying is the belt thing has to be a bit of Chinese whispers going off my experience of doing many on many cars.
It’s extremely rare to find a...
I’d suggest 90% is high but I can tell you a lot of cars you do never line up to timing tools perfectly when you’re dismantling (even at their first ever belt). When you’re doing an engine that just has marks you have small leeway that makes them always look perfect.
My clio didn’t line up and...
Still enjoying Driftworks YT content, prob one of my fav watches on YT car content. They seem to have good fun on track with the clios, thought Phil might almost be persuaded into a clio after following the 200 the other day in the CSL.
Be pretty epic to see what he’d do to a clio...
no, no, no it’s the fabled f4r and everyone knows you need to be a clio specialist (that means you were once an enthusiast that started their own business and have no formal qualifications btw).
If a mechanic can’t do a 172/182 timing belt then they shouldn’t be working on anything! The only...
Title gave my flash back to little school (I’m almost 44)
“The animals came in two by two, hoorah! hoorah!”
And it’s been in my head all day!
Must admit, I’ve never heard the reference either.
Sounds like you have too much fuel, most likely injector (get a set of OE injectors while you can if it hasn’t had them) Failed and chucking loads in but if your spark has gone on one cyl you could be getting similar symptoms.
Not sure whether the sport cat is made of sterner stuff (well it...
Yeah, I meant the stubby one the same size as the m12. I went to edit my post last night and couldn’t. From what I’ve seen it’s exactly the same power and form as the M12 but with the dirty great 18v battery which seems pointless to me on one sold for it’s compact size.
I see Milwaukee are unleashing some new impacts. See the new 18v mid torque, compact (similar size to the m12 compact) on YT the other day. Light looks good but power supposedly similar to m12 but you have the large 18v battery hanging off it so not really sure what the benefits are over the...
Amazing driver but my biggest wow moment from him was when I was at a celebration day for suzuki at Brands Hatch (must have been circa 2001/2).
He turns up in his helicopter and jumps on a British superbike and goes out with Kevin Schwanz and was lapping Brands with him. He was insanely fast...
