Pedal Potentiometer Circuit Track - CLIP Limp mode

There’s not a lot to them if you open them up. I had the same stuff going on, took the pedal apart and the tracks seemed to be contacting fine. In the end I sorted all my issues by taking the washer bottle out and checking the main engine bay to interior plug which runs the wiring. Mine had...

    Oldest game you still play?

I’d 100% still play BF2 online if I had a PC (got to be a few still playing) IMO it’s yet to be bettered. Dragon Valley, helicopter seat switching.

    172Cup Emissions Light

First, do not give up your OE cat (they’re worth £500-£600 scrap) Secondly it’s unlikely just to be a dead cat it’s more likely you have an injector issue (very common on these) and will be dumping too much fuel in.

I’d imagine they’d be perfectly fine if made by Gates.

    Racing Blue EK54YVU Owners?

I think there’s some crossed wires. I’m assuming (op?) the weird painted bad boy ones were on it, he’s fitted ‘new’ ones. Pud’s comment was at the crap ones and OP thought he meant ‘old headlights’ as in the ones he’s just changed to need to be fresher. edit... Just zoomed in on the new...

Interesting how low the car was on the front of that flyer!

    NorthloopCup likes a challenge, right?

Could someone not come up with an inlet for throttle bodies that doubles back over like the stock inlet? Could run the injectors close to the head and have U shape runners coming up n over and a plenum? AFAIK that’s much better for torque and also wouldn’t have the large straight inlets...

    My Impreza mistake

I’d say you might regret that sale. A JDM bugeye STI is a cracking car! Not many turbo cars that’ll Rev like it. I remember well when the bugeye came out and everyone hated them but the front is much better balanced to me than the following blob eye. I’ve had both and always felt the blob...

What have you done to your car today ???

I’d ended up with two of them. I wanted to start track driving and thought about prepping the BG one but I just felt bad as it was such a nice original car. It’s never been subjected to one aftermarket mod, I bought it off a guy that was proper anal about it being stock about 8/9 years ago...

    Cranks but won't start

Ah right, sure I’ve got one somewhere. Didn’t think there were any connectors in the pack, will have to check.

    Cranks but won't start

Best to solder it if you can. Or get some of those solder connectors they sell these days that have solder built in. You can use a lighter on them.

    problems with catalyst clio 182

I’d rather have the OE one than ktec. I kind of get selling for a cheap one as it’d almost be worth the hassle but selling and buying an expensive but worse cat makes little sense. Keep the OE cat if you have it. For some reason on your last thread I assumed you didn’t have a cat at all.

    problems with catalyst clio 182

My (recently sold) 172 has an aftermarket one and passed it’s mot for years (I’d guess 7). My current 172 now has the eBay cat too. They do need to be HOT though but I don’t think they’ll necessarily stop working after a couple of years. They’re definitely not as effective at lower temps than...

    A Monaco Blue 2002 Clio 172

Regards wipers. I’ve never had any issues removing arms (and I work in a garage) and never use removal tools. All you need to do is take the nut off, grab the wiper arm on its solid part and push down and up on the arm towards and away from the windscreen. That frees it from its grip as...

    A Monaco Blue 2002 Clio 172

Regards the damage to the windscreen... You’ve likely fitted the wiper mech wrong, there’s a locating pin on the linkage that goes in a hole on the bulkhead. When it’s not in the hole the mech sits tilted and the wiper arm touches the screen.

    My Sunny Gti-R

That was an ‘always wanted’ years ago when I had my pulsars. Wouldn’t pay what they’re worth these days (unless I was rich making a collection)

    raider matte finish.

Saw one for sale recently with a totally off shade door, all I could think is what a nightmare it must be to match if/when they need paint.

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

Don’t sell, I think you’ll regret it. I don’t even know how you could after 15 years, must be like a member of the family.

    The new tool thread

Cant imagine they’ll ever be as good (powerful) as air. Never ceases to amaze me when I get an air gun out on a crank bolt, even a pretty small, old snap on 1/2” air still blows away the newest snap on 1/2” battery one (the 9 series). I hardly ever use air now (more from the inconvenience of...

    My Sunny Gti-R

Awesome, car. How long you had it? I always wanted a Sunny GTI-r. Had plenty of pulsars (5 I think) but something really cool about the sunny. I much preferred the gear knob, rubber gaiter, clocks etc in the sunny. Hated the floppy leather stuff in the pulsar. I did start collecting bits...

    B18/K20 conversion

Seems a better route than megane 225 doesn’t it? Those Honda engines are bomb proof.

    197 prices!

How much does a Meglio conversion cost? Is it me or are they really expensive when they come on the market? I’m not seeing the value what people are asking for 197’s with a 225 engine. Or am I seriously underestimating the cost to do?

What have you done to your car today ???

Sold my standard BG 172 (cheap) today. Was a great little car and still rust free (original paint) low owners and I’d just done the belts, dephaser, water pump, aux belt and tensioner, shocks etc. Never so much as seen a lowering spring, silver bulb or a fandango air filter in all it’s 17...
