Is that 3/8” any good with only 12v? Even my ancient snap on one takes my 18v battery
I’ve still got the old snap on guns which I can’t give up as I hate the new stuff with the safety brakes that don’t coast down. I’ve had them so long I like the way you can use the impact to undo a nut and...
Not sure I’d be that hung up on below 100k to be honest. I bet there’s very few cars out there I’d swap mine for regardless of their mileage and mine’s done nigh on 130k. But mine has always been standard and still has its original paint (except a smart repair on front bumper) Bodywork is one...
Biggest annoyance for me with the modern phone design is the stupid curved screen.
My favourite design was the iPhone 4s. With a slim case and glass screen protector it was safe as houses.
My 7+ with the stupid curved screen... put a screen protector on and it left a gap between the screen...
One thing I’ve noticed about the Samsung’s, two at work and both have a sort of nicotine yellow look to the screen colour? my (old) iPhone 7+ seems to have a much fresher look to the colour tint.
I’ve been tempted to try different phones over the years (well I did once with a HTC but that...
I can beat that, paid Feck all for mine (well couple hours helping someone). Really gutted as my neighbour has just gouged a fkin scratch in the door, really fuming as the paint was all original.
They used to be worth about £5 to people on here years ago, every thread used to go “172 is faster/better” :D
Current mileage is around 50k going off MOT before SORN.
I can still feel the sweaty back! Never even considered one but took it in px for my Evo 6 RSX (another rare beast) and loved it.
I just looked up my old Clio V6 and it’s been SORN for the last 5 years.
Owed me about £7k that car, was mint and had about 15k miles. Prob worth a bit more these days.
Yes, my 3 cars are all driven and I get grief about how I don’t polish them up BUT...
If I was a multi millionaire I would 100% have a huge indoor car space with an RS500, Integrale, 22b, GTI-R etc just to look at. I’d be more than happy wandering around in there at night just admiring the...
Regards the Ford RS investment line...
What RS can you buy these days as an investment?
The boat has long sailed on the decent ones and the new models for investment? No chance they’ll be anything like the old stuff! The new focus RS stuff is all the same plastic crap as every other...
Oh they 100% will.
You’ve got to think of the price of 205’s and r5 GTT’s and compare how much better the 172/182 is compared to either of those.
Whenever people reminisce about old cars saying “I wish I’d bought a” in regards to investing I always say forget what’s passed and look about what...
Mine’s a standard original car, still on its supplying dealer plates and original paint.
I bought it for my ex years ago from an enthusiast and was owned by a doctor before him (as I have all the old history)
I’ve thought about flogging it but it’s pretty worthless and actually owes me...
True though. Great cars standard for our roads and most kids would rather put a noisy exhaust and an induction kit on than a decent set of fresh tyres.
A mate of mine had a trophy with a full system and it was terrible to be in and obnoxious from outside where it’s just screaming about its...
I could see that on hill climb monsters, looks pretty crazy really and if it had the go to match the rear tyre grip suggestion it’d be pretty epic to see run a climb!
Question is, who in their right mind would bother to decat a clio anyway. It just makes zero sense to me on a 170bhp NA car. Forget decats and get a good quality set of new tyres, that’s the only mod a road going 1*2 needs.
Turbo cars generally react really well to a decat but an NA car just...
I don’t do Facebook but a mate has a 172 that’s been sat a year and was going to scrap it (aux belt went & took out timing belt)
He’d be really pleased to get these prices for the cat alone for sure!
Do they have a business name?
Im gonna preface this by saying... yes I’m a boring old fart.
But... what is the point of these long burnouts?
Showing an rx7 driving & lighting up the rears in 2nd and rolling a bit of tyre smoke for a couple of secs, I can see how that could be impressive.
But sat there for minutes...
I put a land mine (12g blank firing) on my garage door when someone tried to nick my cossie 25 years ago!
It was so loud it’d set the Clifford alarm off!
I went up to brands and watched, it’s actually pretty cool there as they do the rally stage forward and reverse too (as well as car park)
Everyone was having fun and it’s a cheap way to get in to a bit of competition.
Thought it looked a great craic.
Trouble for some, even a track day is too...
Podcasts are great with being at home. Best part of my day now is looking forward to lunch, lining up a podcast and laying in the garden listening to it while eating my lunch.
Nicky grist one is great.
What’s also good is the mention of the clio trophy in the jethro one. It’s no wonder...
I’ve got enough trouble! I get the feeling they wouldn’t sell it anyway as they’ve had it a long time and the fact it’s on the drive covered when they have a new Audi S1 parked on the road tells me they’re quite fond of it!
Good work. Just needs banded wheels, stretched tyres, an induction kit, upswept DTM exhaust and a flamer kit.
Wonder how many of us have stock 1*2’s on here? Mine has never been modified from new in any way.
There’s a ph1 near me and the couple have had it years (must be 10-15) they ‘souped...
Just make sure you go OE for injectors. I had a similar issue and stupidly thought the eBay ones would work and they were worse than the buggered ones.
There was a seller on eBay doing genuine MM ones for around £30 each IIRC.
Awesome. STI V6 which I’ve had 7 years.
Very rare colour for a JDM sti as it’s (unfortunately as it’s my least fav thing) similar colour to the UK cars so people with half a clue assume it’s a tarted up UK car. I’ve never seen another saloon sti this colour, seen a couple of Type R sti’s in it...
An area of the O/S on the front bumper is the only thing and that’s just touched up. I’ve been over it with a fine tooth and certain all the panels are original paint. Even has its original supplying dealer plates (which incidentally still got all it’s health check paperwork for over the first...
