Hmm well if it's worth £1 I may just get it checked first before changing any parts [emoji848] can get the alignment done free new year so maybe worth just waiting till then

Exactly what I'm thinking of doing, can get steel from work so the materials aren't going to cost me, I just want to see examples of people's what they've done and where they've had them welded in etc for inspiration [emoji106]

Use semi slicks on it 195/50 all same tread levels no feathering etc
No spacers fitted and cars on coilovers and pretty low, rear shocks went on last clio and it was all over the place this just likes to follow imperfections in the road and when you put your foot down seems to very wayward, as...
That's exactly the thing I'm thinking of, what did you do weld in spreader plates inside and outside the strut towers? You any pics without inside trim?

Yeah seemed to be ok, I just notice it more when driving for long distances or over back roads it's bloody horrible haha, motorways are horrible too, got lots of tyre roar and the car follows the indents the trucks leave so it steers itself in the first lane lol

If I do have any camber on the front it's unintentional lol but it is fairly low so it's a possibility. I'll price up for both sides,
I was initially thinking the steering rack bushes? But everyone seems to be saying to do the track rods and ends so I'll try those first

Yeah my friend actually does it at a local bodyshop
May price up rods and ends for each side and get it tracked after fitting, what they like to do ? Simple enough?

Yeah they seem pretty decent to be fair, was a bit damp though at weekend so they took a lap or two to get warm but I was reeling in that meg250 which was on regular tyres and with it being a twisty track I was closing the gap once they were warm.

Tramlining that's the word I was looking for, like if there's any imperfections or changes in the road surface it follows it! Is it worth just getting alignment done first or replace trackrod ends first ?

Hi lads, since I've bought the cup recently the only thing that lets it down is when you want to give it some over a back road it feels really skatty and all over the shop. When you out your foot down it's horrific but when driving normally it's not bad really.
can only describe it as feeling...
Hi guys hopefully a few of you have done this, or have a good idea where is strong enough
I've got some fixed buckets for the car and will eventually fit some harnesses once it stops being used pretty much daily.
So whilst I save for a roll cage wondering if any of you lot have weld in or...
So today's job, no modifying unfortunately but job that was needed to get the car back usable,
Jacked it up got aux belt & alternator off and front bumper and the job was a doddle apart from some crappy pipes that didn't want to undo, bought a used PAS pump for now but will either replace...
Poor luck mate but hopefully it's something easily sorted! I should really upgrade my breakdown cover with my bank now I'm back in a clio [emoji848]

My clio was 97db cold with a scorpion decat resonated system which they measured at Oulton park and said it was fine, they measured at 5k because I said it revs to 7k.
Load of b****cks really, especially when the rally cars run it with some of the WRC cars being well over 100DB.
