Lol. It is, it keeps blowing the fuse for the horn as well. Damn thing.
I did with the 1st couple of bulbs as I didn't know that can kill the life span of the bulbs but past few I've fitted, I haven't touched the glass.
Had these fitted to my car for a while now, well several different bulbs because they keep blowing. I'm not sure if it's the bulbs themselves that are prone to blowing or there's a short somewhere causing it.
Another decided to pop tonight but I actually witnessed this one blow. Saw it have...
Only find them slippery if my shoes/trainers are wet, had a recently fail due to slippy clutch pedal and ended up with two curbed wheels as a result. :o
Tried to get a quote from an Insurance company for an 04 plate 172, trying to explain to them it wasn't a 182 was a nightmare and were adamant they were right and I was wrong.
You could always sign up :rasp: lol
What I know is. Needs a new steering rack and gearbox, paint is sinking in places just after it's had a recent respray and the car has had a really hard life.

Lol. Just had a good read of this. I know the car and know it's not as "mint" as the seller says.
Edit: Apologies if I've put this in the wrong section, wasn't sure where to post it.
I've seen you about a couple of times mate, last time was with me as a passenger in my own car and making alot of noise as we went past you while you were parked up lol
Hardest bit is removing the old exhaust, the two bolts that hold the centre section to the cat on mine were a b*****d to get off. As for cutting the bumper, I've never done that myself but maybe a Dremel would do the job?
They're like that standard, the bump strips are more of a matt finish.
Looks really well Steve, don't be doing to much to it though otherwise it'll start showing mine up :rasp: lol
Pretty straight forward really Steve, upper engine mount and dogbone mount are a doddle, the upper gearbox mount can be a bit of pain, trying to remove the nut off the top of it was my biggest problem because the whole mount kept twisting.
I got my engine mounts from EuroCarParts, can't remember exact prices but I think they were,
£54 + vat for the upper engine mount
£18 + vat for the upper gearbox mount
£20ish + vat for the dogbone mounts.
Although if you can get hold of any I'd uprate the dogbone mounts with polybushed...
You can do it by hand but it takes ages, there's a guide on here knocking about on how to do it. I used a dremel on my fuel rail guard but went abit over board with it so it took ages to sand it down flat and smooth.
Not fancy having ago at doing it yourself? Granted it's slow job but I did my fuel rail guard and started my plenum and do plan to finish it when the weather warms up.
My 1st Cup didn't, but this Cup has a R-Sport ECU, raised rev limit, smoother torque curve so it has no 5k kick etc etc.
It's the only explanation I guess, other than saying "It's a Renault" Lol.
The strange thing is, I had a Viper on my other Cup and that responded well to it. When I had the Viper on this Cup, I tried all sorts, moving the CAF in to different positions then as you say just disconnected it all together. Nothing worked so I removed it and went back to the ph-2 airbox...
Got a k-tec supersport stealth (alot louder than standard for some reason) and I just used the original elbow to fit the ph-1 airbox, it's abit tight but it just about fits.
Yeah I do appreciate the noise can act as a placebo effect but there's definitely some small gain there because now the...
