Yep, you're right, they really are expensive. The Texaco garage near me is the closest one to me and the times I've used it is just for convenience. I've tried pretty much every brand and like you say, makes no difference at all.

I've never really been able to tell much difference between any brand of fuel baring Texaco's fuel. When I fill up with theirs my car just drinks it in no time and the car feels sluggish.

I did the same as Aluco and just made sure they were done up tight, wouldn't fancy using thread lock on them though because if they ever needed removing again you're going to have a right job undoing them.

Another question if you don't mind answering Henk? Would you be able to use an RSTuner on the R-Sport ECU? Or would it be a case of only being able to perform a live map on it?

I use to think the Artic Blue and Mondial Blue was the same until I was corrected on here recently lol. Apparently the Artic is suppose slightly different.

Like I say, just keep an eye on it, was it definitely gearbox oil? It has a really potent smell to it. The contis are really good and rate them highly but they wear out pretty quickly, if you can stretch to it, I'd get the the Michi PE2s. Similar if not slightly more grip than the contis and...

Does anyone know if R-Sport ECU's are mapable? From what I've been told the R-Sport ECU is a plug and play replacement for your standard ECU and it comes with a generic map already loaded on to the ECU. All I'm thinking is if I ever decided to mod further (cams etc) Would the R-sport ECU need...

Had my plenum off several times and never had any issues with re-using the gasket (famous last words). Just be careful with the bolts holding it down, not made of the strongest material and have a tendency to snap if you over-tighten them.

If I was in the same situation I would probably walk away as well. On the same idea as you've mentioned "what else is he hiding". Although I'm very wary when it comes to car buying because it seems alot of people are out to scam someone unfortunately and it doesn't take much to put me off a car.
