Sorry Ian, I'd forgot about you needing a lift if you were coming, my mate didn't end up coming (lazy b*****d wasn't up) so I had a spare seat.
If I'd have remember I'd have dropped you a message, sorry mate!
Oh yeah, I know where you mean, I followed Chris left off that round about and I saw Ben, a few others and that bird in a blue 182 go straight on. I ended up getting lost then finding the A6 in to Stockport, traffic was awful.
Oh and the lad with the white 197 is called Steve ;)
Your exhaust sounded amazing mate and the flames popping from it when we were all going for it was epic.
Cheers mate, it's being temperamental, there's a loose wire that's causing the problem. I didn't fancy trying to take that TR6 to be honest, don't really know the roads around there. lol
Good meet this lads and good few blast along the Cat&Fiddle road even though my brakes were dying again at the end, definitely need changing as soon as possible. Highlight of the day must have been that goggle wearing hero in that TR6. lol.
Oh did anyone notice if one of my brake lights wasn't...
Lol just had a look at their other items for sale, they're a tad expensive aren't they.
Starter motor £80 +£12 P&P. They're £114 brand new from the dealers.
Horrible feeling isn't it? When I sold my 1st Cup I was absolutely gutted watching it drive away (didn't want to sell it but I was forced to due to financial circumstances).
It's strange how you grow attached to things lol.
They can feel a little unstable when you really do push them through corners and when the road gets abit rough it can become abit unnerving. You do get use to it though. If it's really bad though, check the rear shocks because they have a tendency drop their oil.
Presume your tyres are...
Normally 6 points I think, if he's not been driving 2 years or more he'll lose his license and have to re-take his test. Also my mate who's a fireman told me yesterday the police are crushing cars more and more now for "no insurance" offenses.
Ahh! Thanks Henry.
I was messing around with the rear lights for ages trying to find out what the problem was. Doing it on my own was a pain in the arse, had to use mirror at the back of the car lol. Was tempted to put a brick on brake pedal but didn't fancy scuffing it as I've not that long...
Lol. It seems someone has imitated your jet like noise then, I didn't see the car but it sounded just like yours.
I wasn't in my car at the time, I was on delivery and I heard it hammering down Cadishead way lol
Had another look at the bulb in question, it seems to have two filaments in it, would it be possible for just one of the filaments to blow?
Also can you buy double filament bulbs from anywhere, i.e halfords EuroCarParts?
Last night my nearside brake light went out, I presumed it was just the bulb. After further investigation I've found it's not the bulb as it's still working, I've looked for loose wires, checked the earth and tried to clean the contacts and bulb holder, also I've checked the brake pedal sensor...
Well it wasn't so much a spot, I just heard a jet like noise and I know his car makes a similar noise lol.
It was on Cadishead way on the border of Warrington and Cadishead around 13.30 today.
Re: n/w meeting
There's one I see regular on Barton road near us on my way to work, also I use to see one parked up at JJB soccer dome, may have been the same one though.
I may come along to this, not to certain what I'm doing Tuesday yet.
I've finally got round to replacing mine today, just a question though as I'm not to certain I've done the correct thing.
Once the mount was in place, I pulled the engine forward as much as possible then tightened the nuts. Presume that was the correct thing to do? Also the spindle that's...
That does sound like a knackered dephaser (from other videos I've heard) but when they rev it the engine noise drowns out that horrible tapping/rattling noise, where as yours can still be heard.
