Re: Another Clio MK1 Project :-) took a total of 20 mins to remove all sound deading from the car :-) Lucky it was a Ph1 so not that much to remove :-)

In the picture it didnt have the MAP Sensor as i forgot lol. But it does now and its a lil bit better but still idles bit ruff after a while.

Well the Inlet Manifold was changed. when i changed the ICV. As had ECU problems. But did put a new Gasket on.

This engine is out of a Mk1 93 Ph1 1.2 Clio it was perfect in the other car but after changing to its new shell along with a new ecu and a new loom it started to Be really ruff on idle to a point it stalls. Change the ICV with no luck heres a vid http://www.youtube.com/v/majORFtHbwU...

car has Chassie number on the front strut mount. and that matches the log book is that not enough ??

Is this a fail? is there any way found it E.g Chassis number or some thing :-S ???

Does any one know the paint code for this 1996 Ph3 Clio Can't seem to find the VIN Plate.

how much quicker would 100 from compared to a say JC2 box ( or what ever the code for a normanl valver box is?)

Just Picked up a F7P with a F7P ECU and Loom Just wondering would this work with a PH1 Mk1 1.2 Dash loom ? or will there be a problem with immobilizer?

Looking to get to 100 quick then after that dont matter.

Prob use it like. Once a week if that. But 1st week i get it will use it about 3 days in a row. Only really going use it for sandblasting / Dust blowing / Tyer inflation.. And maybe impact tool on any hard nuts :-) but thats about it so only use it about once a week.

Just wondering whats the best gearbox to be running on a F7p 1.8 vavler lump Also whats the diffrences between boxs :-)

Re: Another Clio MK1 Project :-) Well :-) Picking up a F7P with 39k on the clock for really cheap tomorrow. so couldnt really say no to it :-) It will go in it for the mean while. after about a year i will prob update to some thing else ;-) Or even another project.

Re: Another Clio MK1 Project :-) Today didnt really do nothing and have no pictures :-( All i did was Used the air compressor and blow all the dirt off then washed the whole shell with a jet wash then blow it all dry :-) i bet i got about 30 Kg's of dirt from the underside of the car and...

Looks like in the Ph1's shells there is a hell of a lot less tar / sound deadenin then the ph2/3s I'm either going to Pop Vivit a Ally sheet in ( but don't no if this will look good or not ) or just get a new roof skin

How about the doors? as I've seen a couple with 2 thick bars in them, And seen others with out.

After stripping my clio i've found loads of rubber / plastic grommits missing. Looking for some where to either buy gromits or some thing else to cover the hole. As this is going to be a track car not to botherd about most the holes just there are 2 big ones in the floor that i dont like :-)
