Seeing as people are posting pictures of Zetec-s's, I thought I might aswell do it too :rasp:.
Had to dig through ZSOC.com's archives for these but here's my old FRP zetec-s.
Interested in a near standard Cup? Lol.
Shame you didn't have this up for sale earlier this year because I'd have snapped it up. Good luck with the sale though mate.
Can't see it being more expensive mate, that just wouldn't make sense lol. Like you say chances are it'll be the same as any RS but with the DVLA you never know.
How much will tax been on it when you've completed the conversion? Will you pay as much as anyone with an RS or will it be less?
Sure I've read about people saying they pay less tax for conversions.
Yeah! that was me, they ended up buying it back off me when the bottom end failed.
Do you know what happened to that car? Last time I saw it, they'd fitted a new engine and stuck it on Ebay
I've owned a FRP zetec-s, graph figures showed it was producing 162bhp.
To be perfectly honest both the Cup's have had would have struggled to beat it. Perhaps because it was stripped and extremely low it felt quicker than it actually was but I reckon the cars would be dead even until you...
+1
cost effective in the long run because the rest of it will just rust and drop off.
Stainless steel jobby and you'll not have worry about replacing it again.
As people have said I don't think you can "pay monthly" till you're 18. Something to do with the credit agreement. It's just like when you try and sign up for a mobile phone contract, you have to be 18 before you can do that as well.
Lol!
Where abouts on the car does the smell come from? If it's from somewhere that gets hot, I'd guess glue has been used to fix/stick something around that area.
Lowering Springs are just the cheaper alternative to Coilovers. If you're not on a budget or worried about cost I'd go for coilovers.
Lowering springs will drop the ride height and improve handling slightly but coilovers give a better ride height and improve handling more so than just lowering...
When I checked a few months ago Black Circle were the cheapest I found. I'd check CamSkill though, they didn't have them when I last checked but they may stock them now.
I fitted the Top Strut Washers to mine and I've not heard the knocking noise since, saying that though I did fit my exhaust not long after so the noise from that could be masking the knocking noise I suppose.
It'll be the lumpy idle that's causing the "spitting" sound your talking about mine does exactly the same thing. The stiff/creaky clutch is also a common thing so I've been lead to believe.
If you take their word for it and sometime down the line it snaps and causes alot of damage you'd be covered anyway wouldn't you? Aslong as you have that receipt stating it's been done.
Managed to get 350 miles yesterday out of a full tank yesterday, would have probably got more if it hadn't have been for the stop start traffic on the M5 and M6 for 80 miles .
That was a mixture of driving like a tart there and giving it a good blast on the way back till I hit traffic.
