Not sure if this is in the correct section but it is Clio related!
Has anyone has any dealing or had any experience with them?
I'm seriously contemplating selling my Cup due to all the niggley little problems I'm having with it. I'm starting to loose interest in it because of it and you've...
Has he HPI'd it? if not tell him to because that car looks very familiar to one that was on Ebay and PistonHeads. Someone mentioned that car was a cat D. The white stripes and orange colouring on the plemum do ring a bell from somewhere.
Problem with mine is I'm not sure how long the CV boot has been split so the damage to CV joint may have been done. Hopefully getting it booked in soon to be looked at.
I'd replace the boot myself but I'm not really confident enough of detaching the driveshaft from the hub incase I can't...
I've just had the wheel off again and noticed there's a small hole in the boot which I can get my little finger in to and found green grease on the lower arm, the joint still has grease on it.
I know if the joint is left un-greased for a long period it'll mean a new driveshaft but what are the...
I didn't notice if there was, saying that though there was quite abit of noise in the backgroud going on so I could have overlooked that.
If there was a small split wouldn't it have leaked a tiny bit grease on to the boot though?
Had the front wheels off my car this morning and had a quick look at my CV boots on both sides, the driver's side boot seemed fine and when you squeezed it there was resistance (like when you try and squeeze a plastic bottle full of air with the lid on) but when I did the same with passenger...
AAS exhaust would be your best bet mate, they're in Newcastle and have a good reputation. They'd be able to knock you up a de-cat and fit for you. You'd have to ring them up for a price though. Failing that, if you don't mind traveling Pro-Speed in Cardiff are good, I had mine done there.
It's hit and miss with these really. You'll either get one and have very little problems with it or you'll end up with one that spends most of time in a garage.
Yeah I bought it with the engine already fitted.
I paid £4,500 for it, sounds expensive that but it was the going rate at the time (about 3 years ago I think). It had a fair bit done to it as well.
I know what you mean about the cage, at the time it appealed to me (was abit younger then). All the work was done by Dan Zetec and Phil Wheatley off ZSOC. I bought it off Phil the way it was in those pictures.
Do you know roughly how much your Astra is worth? I'd have thought it was worth more than the Clio, could be wrong though but if I'm correct surely abit of cash your way as well as the Clio would be a fairer deal?
Haha! another reading fail on my part, should have realised you had it fitted by someone else by your 1st post.
Yeah! playing with the airbag is what puts me off having ago at it, don't fancy a broken nose when it decides to go off.
From what I've read I think the OP meant he's checked the dipstick, took a note of what level it was, then put a litre of oil in, then kept checking the oil level till it reached the same level as it was originally.
I check my oil every few days or so but I'm a little paranoid because I...
