Even if you kept quiet at CSS about it, i'm sure your two mates will drop you in it,
so we all know to make you the centre of attention and pour booze down your neck until you go wrong. :D
Your 21st is the big one mate, after that 30 is the next one anyone will care about.
Cool, I was worried a load of lads with cars full of beer wouldn't go down too well with families camping,
if we're in a separate field then we should be able to have a good piss up,
as long as we don't make too much noise.
The only reason I fitted powerflex arb bushes was because the subframe was coming off for something else,
so it seemed like a good idea to upgrade while it was sat there on the floor.
No real change in the car at all, but then I wasn't expecting any as they're only arb bushes,
the engine mounts...
Then no one would learn how to do anything for themselves.
I knew nothing about colour coding or spraying parts before I sprayed a few bits on mine,
but I bought some wet & dry sand paper, some plastic primer, a can of paint and some lacquer.
I then read everything I could about how to do it...
Have you got the tools to take the rear dampers off and have a good look at them?
Sounds like they're failing/leaking, i'd take them off and compress them by hand to see if they're knackered,
if they are it's a phone call to Renault for some new ones.
When mine went the back end would jump...
Have you checked the backbox isn't knocking off the heat shield?
If your rear dampers are screwed the back end normally skips and jumps over bumps,
plus it tends to step out a lot easier round corners.
Cheers for the offer mate, but I think i''ll eventually go down the MK2 Cortina route,
a rolling project with MOT can be had for reasonable money,
plus I don't have anywhere to store a non running project atm.
I'm sorry to say i've given up on having a Mini project in the future,
even rusted shells are fetching a grand ffs, i'll have to learn mechanics on something else.
I'll give you a lift in the dog kennel if you want mate?
We'll probably end up in the pub for a pint and a plate of food afterwards anyway,
shame to miss out on a day out with the lads.
Well those would be the things to check, something's obviously bent when you hit the curb,
the only way you'll know is to get it on a lift and have a look.
No word of a lie, there's actually a gravel trap in the passenger foot well atm,
when I walk the dog down the park, my wellies and his leather football pick up all loads of small stones off the carpark. lol
