noticed this on ebay for anyone in the market for one of these, bit high on the millage at over 80k but thats nothing for one of them, mine is on 75k...
ive heard some s**t on this forum but thats the best lol....
The ecu is self learning to a slight degree, ie it will learn over a period of time what fuel your using, what different levels of air its getting (obviously can be affected by air temperature/air filters etc) but this just allows it...
ive not had time to read the full thread but shite tyres shouldnt step out on you like that, its the rear dampers leaking i put £100 on it! i had it happen to me on a greezy roundabout with Eagle F1's all round
completely disagree with you there, keeping in mind i own both a dci 100 and a modified 172, the dci is a great tool for going to work it handles well but it doesnt have the power to get the speed the suspension can be used for.
the 172 will keep up with MUCH MUCH more expensive machinery...
what size brakes is it using?, and what is the bolt spacing on the strut to hub mounting, 58mm will tell you its a non RS strut/hub
280mm disks are RS, 269mm are non RS
put a 1.6 16v in it, they look identical so no one will know, theres 110bhp and more torque to start with, if you really want, filter, exhaust, manifold and remap will probably give you 120bhp, still never going to be fast though
thats why i wouldnt bother with a petrol as a runabout, my mrs gets same mpg as my 172 in her 1.6 16v dynamique+
however dci mpg + £35 a year road tax + 150lb/ft of torque makes for happy cruising!
