I tried removing mine the other day to give it a coat of satin black,
I got it half off then gave up, took me about 5 mins to clip it back on, proper pain in the arse.
I'm just going to mask it up and spray it without removing it, I nearly lost the will to live trying to get it off.
Got yourself an absolute bargain there mate, £500quid for a car that starts, runs & drives with very little rust.
Are you going to get an MOT to see what needs doing to make it road worthy?
You can just disconnect the hoses on a 1*2s valve and leave it where it is,
i've been running a V6 airbox for years that's not connected to anything,
the acoustic valve is still in it's place doing whatever it does but without any hoses attached.
I don't really know what you're asking me mate.
The standard airbox has one short air feed that attaches under the box at the back,
and one in the side that connects to the acoustic valve.
You need both so the box can be fed with cold air from the short one that gets its air from the grill...

Do they just clip on? - No
What are they made of? - Rubbery plastic
Do they need trimming down to fit? - Cut the tabs off to start with, then trim the ends off once fitted.
Get some...
Please do this Noah, I really want to see how you get on, plus it might inspire me to start looking for my own Mini project.
I can't believe you paid 500notes for that, proper cheap, does it run?
So jealous, I really want an old Mini as a project,
I know sod all about them but I think it would be a good car to learn rudementary mechanics on.
They're also cool as f*ck!
I just started the car and the lights came on instantly,
I also poured some water on the sensor and the wipers worked straight away.
Christ knows what it's for, whatever it is I don't seem to need it.
I was refitting the interior light console and seem to have a spare connector that doesn't go anywhere.
I've plugged the light connector back in and put the climate control sensor back in it's place,
but this just seems to be spare.
Could it be for something on another model that my car...
