no need for spring compressors to fit coilovers as your not taking the shocks apart your keeping them built up and fitting full new ones (ie your coilovers!)
people always talk of the strut turning when they try and loosen the top mount, keep the car on the ground while you crack them off and...
if you like your car to handle like a spazzy on an ice rink and look nice and low then go for them.
if you like to drive your car quick and enjoy the handling then stick to standard or go for sportlines/prolines/h&R or coilovers
lol u dont have a flexi! and as danny said above you just need a new gasket and sealing kit, bloddy expensive for what it is from renault, k-tec do them cheaper though. 5 minute job to change on a 182 with a 10mm socket and 10mm spanner not so easy on a 172!
its obviously going to pull on one as its the same car, lighter with more power but its ok saying ive got 18bhp more or what ever but 18bhp isnt much on the road, its not like its night and day. ive got a big torque gain which makes a genuine big difference but if you fit a decat and filter and...
if your car has lost a genuine 25bhp a service is not going to just like magic make it re appear, infact its probably going to make about 1bhp difference if your lucky from the change of the air filter.
few checks. does the car idle ok, does it pull clean to the limiter, it wont be great over...
ignore the haters mate i like the exhaust.
car looks awesome needs some sort of white detail on the wheels though a rim or something and some sort of white sticker or something on the wing mirrors would set it off i recon
load of my mates are die hard honda nuts and know everything about them and do conversions etc so any bother or questions give me a pm and ill get answers for ya lol
newer ones are higher tax, same engine in the new one is also a dci 106 where mine is a dci 100! think it was something to do with them putting out more emissions than they were rated for! so newer ones are rated with higher bhp and more tax when they are the same engine!
yeah i was never a diesel fan untill i tried one when i bought my last one as a runabout they are awesome, no point at all having a petrol non RS, i was driving my mums 1.2 16v the other day and wasnt exactly red lining it just making progress around town at a similar pace as i would in the 172...
mine is stripped with a few mods and im not into all this 0-60 patter but launching from a standing start mine will pull 1-2 cars length on a standard 172 by the end of 3rd gear
this is not fact.
A small amount of refrigerent can escape due to 'natural seepage' through the hoses used in the system and the seals of the individual system components. This can be up to 10% of the total refrigerant volume per year. A 100% sealed system is not possible due to the...
only a 5 speed mate, would have loved it to be a 6 speed, maby a plan for the future haha ;)
cheers for all the comments guys loving it so far, done 200 miles in it today and really getting a feel for it now, it pulls clean and hard to 4.5k rpm feels more like a petrol than a diesel! inside...
depends what millage, dci100's hold their price well because they are so rare.
alex, got a Pioneer DEH-P8600MP head unit, reference series amp, reference series front components, reference series subs all that jazz lol
na its staying standard just giving it a good detail and keeping it mint and original.
gonna dig out all my old ICE that i had in my 1.2 16v, never fitted it into my 172 got about £3k worth of what was top of the line pioneer ice at the time lol
my mate has the import with 170 odd bhp, awesome summer car goes well, not quite 172 pace but sound awesome with a nice exhaust when the roof pannels are off :D
my 172 uses about 2 bars on the screen when you check it with the computer by the time the next service is due every 8k i do.
howerver i ALWAYS check it manually as my old dynamique told me it was fine and full and it was very low. ive saw another that was the same.
yeah would go pretty well, this one will be staying standard though, the torque on them is limited due to the gearbox anyway so if i was to map it to raise the torque i could get massive gains but not the best for the box so i wont be touching it :) plenty quick enough for day to day driving...
yeah probably one of the best run abouts you will get, i was originally looking for a fabia VRS but this handles better, wee bit slower but has the £35 tax a good 10mpg more than the fabia and cheaper insurance which is what a runabout is all about in the end
picked up clio number 4 today lol a black DCi dynamique 100 with Climate control and electric sunroof.
so far loving it, averaging 65mpg and its got a nice lump of torque when you need it, tomorrow im going to machine polish it and give it a good detail but for today it just got a quick wash...
rather than feeling gutted about it just look at it as a chance for a new car, i think id need to write my 172 off before i could change it! lol id need forced to change it!
u mean the inlet manifold? was polished by a professional machine polisher then just needs a good polish up with some metal polish every few months, not been done in a while really needs done!
no roll cage for me, to much weight ;)
more pics to come guys..
awesome mate u still liking the 182 mani? had it poping flames with the decat yet?
mine apparently throws blue flames down towards the ground from behind the bumper when i tap the limiter when the exhaust is hot with the stealth, decat and 182 mani :)
