its now throwing up that diagnostics light under the fuel light when i brake.
this is what i get for posting up a thread with the millage called "when will it die" lol
got fluid there to change it just not had the time and dont want to go do it if its something else, as it was fine 1 minute then went to brake and they were gone!
could it have sucked air in the system if fluid was low?
i usually buy them high millage then hammer a good few k on them myself, im a dept. manager with somerfield and am sent between stores regularly.
we took the dci to wales for wrc rally gb and it sat at 110mph for 5 hours coming home haha
hated myself for putting all they miles on the 172 in 1 year, started it the other day and couldnt beleive how small the millage looked being 1 digit less at 42k lol
aye man the dci still goin strong lol cooked the brake fluid today and they never came back wooopsys lol got some performance stuff to change it with tomorrow!
cone filter where the battery would be on a standard car, no 90 degree bend, cold air vent in headlight giving direct air to filter
afaik its a 100% standard engine, supersprint race system (not sure if they run cats or not) and a standalone management?
not yet too busy saving for christmas lol. its going in to the bodyshop in january to have the cup spoiler, rear bumper, front bumper and bonnet resprayed and RS Tuner ordered then its just a case of getting coilovers and brakes for it and getting the thing insured and taxed!
my clio history....
clio number one, 1.2 16v dynamique 2002 quite hapily done 140k miles in 4 years, and it still drives about to this day never had one problem, brake down etc apart from a snapped cambelt (my fault)
clio number two, 2.0 16v 172 2003 only done 45k miles but HARD HARD miles...
lol belts to tight, sometimes your better with ur older belt than a tighter one!!!
id have got the waterpump done if i was you, i didnt bother doing mine back when i was 17 and the pump eventually seazed snapping the belt and killing the engine
i do 1.2 belts for £120 supplyed and fitted inc...
saw an inferno 182 with recaros, aftermarket exhaust and new style CS sticker in the window in the carpark at the service park at rally gb yesterday was rather cool!
only issue i can possibly see is with the raised limiter, apparently the pistons WILL fail with prolongued use over 7200rpm.
gearboxes are fine, dont drive like a bellend and you'll be fine! clutch and driveshafts are fine.
my 172 takes a pounding with probably around 190bhp and the box...
