    ***How much is it worth?***

Just wondering how much my Trophy is worth.... (not planning to sell, just curious) Usual Trophy specification, incl Sachs suspension, Recaro seats, etc. The bodywork is in good condition, just some stone chips as to be expected. Original Speedline Turini wheels, recent refurb in original...

Shock Absorbers - Replace if not leaking?

They seem prone to failure on these cars, so I'd say even if they aren't leaking, you'd feel some improvement from replacing them. And like you say, you will save on labour costs doing them together with the springs.

Shock Absorbers - Replace if not leaking?

As above. If you've got the funds to do it, get them replaced.

What haircut would Sir like today?

Nice choice. I have a real soft spot for these, would love a red one.

When do you stop? Seriously... when??

Stop when you no longer enjoy it..... I genuinely enjoy spending money on my car, which probably makes me quite sad?! As Chip said, it's a hobby. Some people are happy to blow £100+ every weekend getting p***ed, whereas I get a buzz out of modifying / looking after my cars.

    Clio V6 Front End Restoration

Great work. It's nice to see a bodyshop that takes pride in doing a job properly. My experience of bodyshops has not been good, most don't seem to care.

That's what I've got at the minute. I've just been doing some reading and everyone is saying Z2 on silver so it looks like I might as well stick with it.

Insurance thread for young 1*2 owners

Spent the last couple of days getting insurance quotes and ended up taking out a policy with Direct Line. I'm 21 with 4 years NCB and have no points/claims. They quoted me £514 for the year, which was for fully comp, 10k miles per year, protected NCB, legal cover and all mods declared...

Tardis OK for front and rear bumbpers/door trim ?

It is fine in my experience, having used it on my own Clio a number of times and countless other cars. As you say, most likely a precautionary statement to cover their backs.

    Quick Detailers

I would go for Z6 (or Z8), both are brilliant IMO. Just a wipe down after a quick wash gives such great results.

    spax vs b14's

For the sake of £250 I'd probably pick up a set of brand new B14's mate. I think Kam Racing are probably the cheapest at the moment, just a touch over £650.

    Are clio 172 reliable cars?

I've only had my 182 for about six months and so far it has been very reliable. The only money I've spent on the car has been through choice really.

    Upgrades.. What to do first?

I'd renew the suspension components personally. They handle great in standard form, but with age/use some of the parts wear and don't perform as well as they should. As for brakes- Brembo HC discs, DS2500 pads, braided lines and ATE Super Blue DOT 4 fluid would be my choice.
