Is there anyone in the EM area that would be willing to restore the headlights on my 182? I would do them myself, but I don't have a polisher anymore. I've also heard bad things about the restoration kits that are available so I'm a bit weary of those. I will of course pay for your services...

When I had a decat there was a noticeable increase in mid range power and the car generally felt a lot more eager. However, was it worth driving a car that was illegal and therefore uninsured? No imo...

Made some "uprated" exhaust mounts, as per Yellow Dave's guide here - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?558057-Uprated-modified-exhaust-mounts&highlight=exhaust+mount I also received some clean plates and velcro coins to fit them.

Trip computer is always between 37 - 40 MPG (I know they are not 100% accurate). I usually see around 400 miles to a tank. I know if you do the maths, it probably isn't a HUGE saving, it's just a shame the 200 couldn't match the 182 in that respect.

So does Fred/BTM sell those mounts separately for the 172's and 182's?

Such a shame about the MPG on the 200's. I'd love one if it wasn't for that!

If it was me, I'd be going for the standard cup one. The carbon one does look good, but I think you'd need carbon elsewhere to pull it off properly. I have also heard the carbon ones chip quite easily so don't look so good after a while.

Brembo HC discs and OEM pads is what I have and they are more than good enough for road-use. Mine were supplied by G172 on here and his service is the best you will find.

Looks so much better without the tints! I'd also loose the stickers/decals on the side skirts too.

Looking at the prices you've been quoted, I'd reconsider and look at the BTM system. The new one is pretty quiet apparently.

Surely the cost to insure a learner on a 182 would pay for a considerable number of lessons?

Get your 182 wheels refurbished in anthracite. Not a fan of 172 wheels personally.

Won't take them long at all. It's a ten minute job once the cars in the air I'd say.
