replacement hose fitted tonight wee thing goes really well for what it is! the low down torque is amazing! it feels quicker low down than my 172 but ive not driven that in a month so im probably in for a shock haha!
now has a little problem where at full throttle the little orange light under...
2 hour job max! can probably be done in an hour!
start with the rear its easier, unbolt the rear damper from the top (inside the boot, then jack it up to take the weight of the car and remove the bottom bolts of the damper so the damper comes off. keep jacking it up untill the springs can be...
super glued all the hose up untill i get a replacement and the thing feels rapid now haha that must have been the problem!!
that must be why i thought it was silly that people said they were on par or even faster with 1.2 16v, the 1.2 felt much quicker compaired to it but now its better!
its just a pipe to replace the catalitic convertor (basically a big restrictive spounge!) so it allows the exhaust gasses to flow quicker giving more power
its illegal because your car wont pass an emitions test for your mot.
been that fed up just went out at 1:30am in the rain and started taking it to bits haha, found a broken boost pipe, was split where one of the sensors goes in, unpluged the sensor and problem got worse, so im assuming thats whats causing it! im on the case now!
i know but i refuse to give renault any money to look at my car lol i can't get to the bottom of this its getting to me, tried to overtake a slow moving merc sprinter van tonight on a dual carridge way, half way past he floored it and left me for dust i had to pull back in lol
erm its not to bad to fit i started it at 10pm after work and finished it early hours of morning, its just a fidly job, trial and error trying to get subframe low enough to get old manifold out and new one in etc
f**k, you only live once, at 18 i went from a 1.2 dynamique to a 172, best thing i ever done, i payed £2500 a year 3rd party too, dropped at 19 to £1200 fully comp.
in all honesty ive never driven a car like the 172, doesnt matter what it is, nothing ive came across yet compairs in fun factor...
not changed the headunit recently have you? had a mate who changed his cd player and trapped wires behind it, shorting them and blowing a fuse, i sorted wiring and changed fuse and it fired up fine.
dephaser (spelling) possibly? had a shot of a mates 172 who said it didnt feel that fast, and it was dead high in the revs, turned out the VVT wasnt activating
where are you bassed?
its pretty straight forward tbh, time consuming though, you can split the gearbox and engine and fit it thu a small gap with the box still fitted but to be honest if its your first time you'd probably be best removing the box, gearbox oil and driveshaft and having plenty...
yey its started again, not tried the above suggestion yet but surely it wouldnt be causing the problem if at 3.5k im getting a surge of power and torque? its just a flat spot. what about a turbo pressure sensor or something?
