I think i'll stay in and drink booze instead, i've been at work all day taking photos of badly behaved kids, I don't want to spend my spare time with a load more.;)

Midlands United Cruise Tonight anyone going?

So is the final destination only found out by showing up at one of these local meets?

Midlands United Cruise Tonight anyone going?

I don't get it, how is it a united cruise if everyone's meeting at similar times in different places? I shudder to think the kind of people that might show up, modified cars around Coventry are all fast & furious s**t boxes.

    Belts and Dephaser

RSTuning are in Leeds, i've never used them but loads of people on here have, they're meant to do good work. They specialise in rolling road remaps, but i'm sure they do normal servicing/engine work aswell.

My Silver PH2 172's and added my met grey wheels

I'm liking the grey standards, i've got an iceburg 172 and unfortunatly my trashed alloys couldn't carry that colour off with all their chips dents and scrapes, you're making me want to refurb them in that colour now, god I wish I earned more money. lol

    PolyBush Dogbone question

Well i'm starting to think that 1st on my replacement box is a bit weak, I guess that's the risk you take when you buy a used box. I might just start pulling away in second when 1st gives me grief, thank god i've got a new clutch, looks like it's about to start living a hard life. lol

    PolyBush Dogbone question

Today i've found on occasion 1st goes in no problem, but most of the time I have to press the clutch twice and flat to the floor, and even then it's a pain in the arse to get in, I can also feel the linkage clunk into place through my left foot (not the gear stick). I have a feeling that 1st...

    PolyBush Dogbone question

Could be as I had a new upper mount fitted aswell as a new battery tray as mine was cracked. But Danny at 519 did the work for me and he doesn't really make mistakes, could be that i'm a girl and use to a slack knackered box, also my gearbox bracket was loose as hell, so everything's proper...

    PolyBush Dogbone question

I don't have any crunching at all, and I have no play whatsoever in the gear stick, it's just that first is solid as hell!

    PolyBush Dogbone question

I've recently had a new gearbox put in my car (well second hand from a breakers) aswell as polybush dogbone mounts, the gear changes feel pretty solid, but i'm a bit worried about 1st gear. It's kind of difficult to get it into 1st, it's like it's made out of granite, there's no crunch that...

    RB 182 A46 Coventry

I think I keep seeing the same RB 182 (cup)? No Stripes This morning 9:35am going north between Warwick & Cov exit. I was travelling south in a Iceburg 172 away from Cov towards Warwick. Almost every day I drive to or from work on the A46 I see this car.

major gearbox failure guide to removal and replacement ?

I got my gearbox from Brignorth Renault, they're an independant breakers and his place was full of 1*2 parts, he had 3 other boxes when I picked mine up, plus he's up for a bit of barteing, he wanted £300 for the box I bought, I got him down to £270. I'm not sure which JC5 you need, but as...

major gearbox failure guide to removal and replacement ?

To give you an idea of cost I paid £270 for a tested box from a breakers, then £475 for labour, a new clutch, upper & lower gearbox mounts + fitting of a polybush dogbone kit I already had. £745 in total.

major gearbox failure guide to removal and replacement ?

If you can afford it then yes it would, if you're going to go down that route i'd buy the cheapest working box you can, and get that refured as yours could be ruined and cost more to fix. I do know that Cliospares in Doncaster sell secondhand tested boxes for £350 collected or £400 delivered...

major gearbox failure guide to removal and replacement ?

This happened to me last month at 70mph, massive clunk and it was stuck in gear. Basically it exploded, got a replacement JC5 130 from a breakers for £270, a new Valeo clutch is around £100.(worth doing) Was told by agency transmissions that a rebuild would be between £270 for a minor refurb...
