This is a question im regularly asked by a lot of mates and i honestly dont know and just tell them its not worth selling! but if i was to sell it how much would i ask for? obviously id be better puting it back to standard but would like rough guesses for standard and modded prices.
2002...
look on the bright side probably a nicer place to be than the clio even if it doesnt have the power or the handling.
remap it when your mrs isnt looking hehe
is it a dynamique one?
embarrassing for him when he hit a corner lol you ever seen they turbo corsas trying to corner? my mates got one with about 300bhp on a straight scary isnt the word but on a corner my wee 1.2 eats it alive its hilarious lol.
are the bolt holes on the strut fixed or adjustable? if they are adjustable (sounds like it) then its needing set up and thats whats causing your rubbing.
tracking should be out slightly but shouldnt make too much difference.
its nothing to do with advancing time or VVT.
5k is the point when the cam timing starts working at its best. i know my mums 1.2 16v has a slight kick at 3k, but mine doesnt, (dont know if the newer 1.2 16v engines are twin cam compaired to the single cam ones before 2004?) only reason the F4R...
got a problem where my dashboard lights arn't working and my N/S rear light and sidelight doesnt work (N/S indicators and main beam/full beam work though!)
ive found the fuse that its blowing when i put them on but ive tried changing the rear stop/tail lamp and sidelight as thats what caused...
get yer flaps out.
bin the flaps with the girly clio writing, why not stick VTS badges on the side to go with your stick on 16v badges? you already have 16v badges on the bump strips whats the need for more?
grill not really to my taste eather, cheese greater.
comon problem that would cause dash top to be removed would be dodgey trip computer on the dials (needs new dials), fused bulbs in the clock/radio display or an aftermarket stereo.
on the more dodgey side of things, could have been clocked or smashed and airbag blew.
anyone know any technical details on this turbo engine yet?
is it based on the D7F 16v engine? if so Matt black sell me an inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and turbo please when you get one in stock lol
i thought about one myself when lastyear when i was 17 and started working full time. worked out it was going to cost me £600 a month for petrol and insurance compaired to my £200 for my 1.2, decided against it after a long think and decided a car isnt everything and id rather have my...
this wud be the same d/c ian hit the limiter in 5th gear in his 172 btw its more than possible, this wasnt indicated eather lol! didnt dare look at the speedo just keept glancing at the tom tom which was reading 119!
seen a load lately, passed a cup a couple of times coming back from cumbernauld on the D/C i was doing about 120 on the massive downhill bend passing loads of cars cant have missed me lol.

anyone from here?
its all coming off for polly bushes anyway so will need setup again anyway in a month or 2. just had it done this time for now so it stoped eating tyres!
i drive both regularly, driving about town the 8v actually feels faster, try and take the 8v on the motorway and you may die lol i kept trying to drop it into 2nd on sliproads thinking i was in 4th but i was already in 2nd lol.
brakes on 1.2 16v, 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v are all the same, same setup as a valver. 259mm vented disks.
finally another 1.2 to give me a run for my money at the meets :D looks awesome mate, makes me even more desperate to get these fukin 16" turinis off and get my 15s back on!!!
lol at ally, according to him my apex was crap and coilovers were the way forward, now my coilovers are crap? lol and a minimum of 3 hours to setup? seems fine to me after about 2 hours setting up, and thats from a guy with 15yrs experiance self employed and another 5yrs doing it for someone...
one of the local guys should know somewhere for you.
ive been 2 days playing with the damping adjustment now trying to get it perfect lol
rory: yeah i fitted them myself and got the guy just to set them up.
as the title says! just had the geometry set up at progrip in central scotland (VERY Highly recomended) guys been doing lazer geometry for 15 years now, knows his stuff. first thing he told me was, if you want it to handle, thats too low! so raised it a bit then got it all set up and its spot...
as said above the engine is pretty highly tunes as standard, so without spending thousands you dont get much power. best bet is to just optimise what you already have ie get the inlet manifold matched, panel filter in the airbox, decent cat back exhaust with a decat and a remap should see you in...
