We got ours off eBay though. Pretty much the same thing at just over half the price. Have had two now- one got left at LM in 2011 because we couldn't be fucked to take it down. Second one's still going strong!
Cool. Cheers guys. Will be getting the wheels refurbed so will have them sealed afterwards if it's that good!
Will buy some ironx and some Bilberry for the interim....
So, never thought I'd venture into here.
Anyone have any recommendations of some super awesome wheel cleaner that will need minimum amounts of scrubbage? Cleaning 4x BBS' on my e30 is similar to water torture with how long it takes!
Ideas, if such a product even exists!?
Inspect all mounts visually. Top two, grab the upper inlet and rock the engine- see how much play there is.
Loosen upper engine mount, pull engine forwards, tighten mount.
It's only 3.1 litres from empty anyway. Buy 3 litres, top it up to the level and keep the rest.
I reckon you'll have done between 2-3 litres if you've whipped it out and let it empty.
FLOL. Yep, basically. 4 big bolts either side. Lower shock bolts. Brake cAlipers off to save the handbrake cables. The headlight level sensor. Brake lines. Then it'll come out...
Yeah, no worries mate. If you can competently fit front shocks, a rear beam drop is no worse..
Obviously it's a big heavy lump so could probably do with some extra hands to help.
Biggest PITA is bleeding the brakes afterwards IMO.
