Impala SS:
This was cool - restomod Plymouth GTX. It had Recaro seats, Wilwood brakes all round and even had a modern ZF auto with paddle shift:
I can't believe I didn't take more pictures of this! R34 GT-R Vspec:
Few more....
Original 427 Shelby Cobra:
I've never heard of Stutz, but this is one apparently. This is one of seven coach-built cars, and was built for the King of Jordan. All of the switches and bezels inside were gold lol:
I went to the Ibn Mansi Auto showroom in Jeddah at the weekend. They buy and sell classic and interesting cars, especially American stuff and things with a royal connection. This is only a small part of the cars they have apparently...
Riva speedboat that used to belong to the Saudi king:
NA is totally the right choice. It wouldn't be a super touring rep if it was turbocharged. Get it to circa 200bhp and then remove every gram possible. Should be plenty quick enough then.
Saw the Super Tourers supporting the BTCC at Oulton a few years ago. They're such amazing machines in the metal; so far removed from the road cars on which they're based. Few of the Lagunas:
Spotted this rather battered Clio 200 in Jeddah yesterday. Don't think they were officially sold here, so could well be an import. Even had Recaro seats.
Brabus-look Suzuki Jimny:
The Pista and F8 are a bit fussy for me. Even the 488 was pushing it a touch. When it came to the track-based specials, I preferred the simpler look of the CS and Scuderia.
A regular 458 would do me nicely to be honest. Looks lovely, has the lairy NA soundtrack. Perfect.
The wheelbase is hilarious. It looks like one of those chopped down VW buses. Be interesting to see how it handles. How does the wheelbase/track compare to a Clio/Megane?
If you're a multi-multi-millionaire, dropping £18k on a Clio is pocket money. If a collector out there fancies it, and wants something super low mileage, firstly, they're not going to have a huge amount of options - how many Trophy's exist on this mileage? Secondly, even if they lost £5k on it...
Do you know where I could download Red Alert 2?
I still have the original one and play the odd skirmish, but didn't find a good download of the second one.
I've noticed in the last day or so, since my phone did some updates, that it's behaving a bit oddly.
The Gmail app has stopped working, as has the BBC Sport app.
Tried the usual troubleshooting stuff, but no luck, so wondered if it might be a bug.
The wheels on the Aventador were kerbed pretty badly.
We've hired a G63 and a 488 out there before and they'd both had a pretty hard life, especially the Merc.
Outside one of the hire places earlier:
And this, which was rather horny:
I don't know if I can think of a more pointless place to own one of the most hardcore road cars in existence, but fair play.
Yeah that is one thing. He's a total bellend, but is getting six figure views and obviously making money somewhere, so someone obviously likes what he is doing.
f**k knows why though. Hopefully he'll get arrested at some point.
Why on earth would someone go on that? You'd have to be mental. Was talking to someone about him earlier. Has anyone looked at those sweets he's always plugging? They are mental money. Apparently he is plugging his own business too.
It's ok, be probably doesn't think much to your car either 😉 I'm the same to be honest. They don't do much for me, but it's still nice to see one out in the wild!
It is ridiculous how common that stuff is. What is interesting is just how strong Lamborghini are out here. They probably outnumber...
More today. They love the Urus it seems, they're everywhere. See loads of Rolls Royces too. You can see why manufacturers are going for the grim big grills and totally over-the-top look, as this lot lap it up.
You can put me in their too if it means I can drive round in an Aventador or Huracan. Wouldn't drive the other stuff, but would happily have any of the Lamborghinis.
Horrendous, but somehow quite charming at the same time in my experience. Would like to drive the current one, but thought the...
